Hi,
I'm Zachary from San Antonio, TX.
My most detailed profile is here if your interested. I own a website dedicated to the Bolivar Lighthouse here in Texas, which also features a page that has documented every lighthouse in Texas, past or present. I'm a member of Lighthousing.net and I wish to become an active member here.

Should I be confused? Welcome aboard, Zach! Or would it be welcome aboard, My Intros!

Welcome Zachary! I changed your introduction from "My Intros" to "Zachary" to eliminate confusion. I hope that you don't mind. It's great to see a young person become interested in lighthouses. Post often on Texas lighthouses or any other lighthouses that may draw your interests. Do you collect Harbour Lights or just have an interest in lighthouses in general?

I'm sad to say I'm not a collector. I just have a large interest in lighthouses ever since I visited the Bolivar Point light.

Welcome to the Forums Zachary.

You need to become a Wacko before you can select an avatar. This is actually really simple, just by making 50 posts. Looks like you have a lot of lighthouse info to share, so start posting. smile

Welcome aboard Zachary,

It's great to have you join us. You might even start collecting lighthouses. I would imagine that it would be pretty tough to bring the Bolivar Lighthouse home with you in the evening.

I used to live in Houston and then Dallas. Been to San Antonio many times. Miss that River Walk - except in August. But unfortunately the Alamo is a nice place to visit - once .

Welcome, Zachary. You have an awesome web site. I, too, love Bill Cosby and still have all his old records. We visited Bolivar and took photos of the lighthouse. Too bad it is private. It could be fixed up for tours if it weren't. Anyhow, you will enjoy this forum. There are great folks who are avid fans of lighthouses. Ask any question and you will most likely get a good answer. Have fun.

Here's a question, do you suppose if you asked the owners of the Bolivar light, they would let you climb the tower? I doubt it but, it's fun to think about. laugh

Hi Zachary,

Welcome to The Forums from Meeeeechegan. Glad to have you joining in. smile smile

I visited Bolivar light in January of 2002 ... remember taking the ferry across and couldn't see the light for all the morning's fog. I subsequently hung around for a period of time and eventually the fog cleared and was able to take some pretty nice photos. laugh Dan

Hi Zachary,

What I would do is to find out when they have an open house. THat's usually the time people are allowed to climb the tower. I have to say that would an awesome light to climb. If you get to do it, and I hope you do, please post some pictures.

Hello Zachary,

It's great to have you aboard. I'm sure you will find this an interesting place to visit. And a great place to learn. We will all look forward to reading your posts as well. Don't be shy! We are all friends here.

This is great, we now have at least two YOUNG Gentlemen in our mist. You and Greg (seagrit) are near the same age. I think he said he was 14 maybe 15 now. Anyway he is well above his age in intelligence and life's goals. And from what I just read about you, you are too!!! And looking at your picture, I'd say your a handsome looking young man as well. Too bad I'm not 30+ years younger, I'd be asking for your phone number. laugh Just kidding! laugh

Coincidentally, even though I've never been to San Antonio, I used to work for a company that is based in San Antonio. H. B. Zachry Construction.
