We are heading to St Clair and Dearborn Michigan to 2 Bill events today... Sue and I hope to see some fellow Wackos there..

I will post some images here tonight before we head to another event tomorrow in Monroe Michigan at a store called Country Gifts.

Harry is the guest speaker at the SO. CAL. HL CC meeting today...

And with Nancy at Lighthouse Depot today and Collector's World tomorrow, this is a big event weekend for the Youngers..

The first event of the day was at Maloofs..

8 yr old Nathan Schapka gets the 1 - 4 - 3 story from Bill while his sister, Emily, 11 yrs old and his Mom, Christa, look on...

7yr old Ryan McAlvey is excited when Bill gives him a thumbnail version of the St Clair lighthouse!!

James Magee give Bill a look when Bill reads off his name but with a different home town than his...

Bill presents James with his winning Gold Event lighthouse!

Art Penwell won the Gold at the second event of the day at Adrays...

Sue and I checked into our hotel in Monroe (city of tomorrow's event), then went to supper at a very nice little Cafe... Bolles Harbor Cafe served up some Great Lake Perch!!

The inside decor was as Great as the food... Toledo lighthouse painting made me think about our last visit to the lighthouse and our upcoming visit with our club friends... They had some really neat old pictures of the former Monroe Pier Light and even the china had it's image on it!

Day Two Event..

First came breakfast back at Bolles Harbor Cafe.. I figured that if they had that Great of a Chef for supper, we had to try breakfast there... The above is Sue's breakfast!

This is mine, it almost pales by comparsion but it was a Wonderful Omelet!

The store, Country Gifts, was located in a very nicely restored building in downtown Monroe.. now what could that woman be carrying into the store?

A new paint variation was discovered at the signing... these are both OE Marblehead lighthouses... The one on the right was an "A" numbered one and the one on the left was a "G" numbered one.. I will have to get a "G" version to shoot more comparison pictures.

The newer version OE Marblehead was brought to the signing by this young couple... they were celebrating their one week anniversary of Mark asking Michele to marry him at Marblehead Lighthouse... she accepted!

The winner of the Gold lighthouse at Country Gifts was Scott McMahon...

Dave,

Do you have any relatives in Michigan?

That Gold winner in Monroe looks a bit familiar. laugh

Paul as is always the case- great pictures, including the traditional food ones.
