I thought I would post the image of the winner of the Gold Event Lighthouse at the Sand Dollar "Bill Event" today, just in case some on the Forums might know her.. Some of you know her as Sue Brady, I know her as my lovely wife! This is the Cape Henry First Landing Cross, which is the piece that we bought for Sue's Gold entry in the drawing. The store owner, Jessica, said that she had only four left after our purchase. Then later I saw Bill signing another one that had been purchased, which means only three left at the Sand Dollar store, which is the only place to get them. I knew when I walked in the Sand Dollar store and the first thing I saw was these seahorses, I had to shoot this for Sandy! Bill started signing a little early and there were lots to sign, including some of Harold and Shellie Breen's (just to the right of Bill) all the way from Ohio. Jessica had the signing tables set up great for Bill to work his way around from one collection to the next.. Jessica (in brown) helping open boxes and getting the lights ready for Bill... she's done this before more than just a few times.. Jessica is holding up a 3ft tall seahorse for Bill to sign that is going to be sitting on the Brady's new deck! I will post a picture of its location in the Seahorse Forum when the deck gets completed, Sandy. Gold Duxbury Light..

Bill telling the collectors present how much he appreciated their concern when he had his health issues last year. Two of my favorite people. It Just Doesn't Get Any Better Than This!!!

I thought I would post a couple of more images showing how store owner, Jessica, laid out the Bill Event. Sue and I have been to hundreds over the years and this was laid out about the best. The signing tables were set up in the Mall with plenty of room for foot traffic to walk by without being in the way but so that all could see what was going on.. In the background you can see the store.. Another table holding HL lighthouses for sale and a person there to help the customer and inside the store one or two people manning the register. Jessica was always moving around to where she was most needed, including greeting long time collectors and helping them unpacked the lights they brought for Bill to sign. It was set up to serve the collector and Bill! We are on the road to see Assateague Lighthouse this morning.

A "special" congratulations to Sue! I'm sure the moment was priceless when her name was called out...
Great photos covering the event. Wish all events were covered this well. Thanks Paul for sharing this with us!
The seahorse statues are beautiful. I WANT the aqua green one on the right!
The photo of Sue and Bill would make a good desktop image for her computer.

What until you see the 3ft seahorse that we have filling the back seat of the car... I probably need to put a protective coating on it before setting it out on the new deck at home..

Here's one more image from the Sand Dollar Bill Event.. Longtime, make that Lifetime, member of the Forums Hal used to come to our AOL chats before the Forums existed, Hal Dean and his wife Betty are talking with Bill. Off to the right is their daughter with her two sons who thought they were just coming up from NC to see their Grandparents. Little did they know they were also coming to see Bill. They both met Bill before and, of course, love to be with him. Sue and I first met Hal and Betty at the Providence Reunion and have seen each other several times over the years. It was nice spending some time with them and their family..

Wolf, for some reason I can't edit your post so here is the image you were trying to display. There was a problem with the name of the file as uploaded but I was able to correct it in the storage area.

Are you from nearby Virginia Beach? I'm from the Raleigh, NC area so it was a three hour drive up that morning and a three hour drive back after the event. I'm the guy in the turquoise shirt that you took a few shots of - you also signed a collector's guide for my mom that she won - thanks Well here goes my attempt at posting more pics from the event - many thanks to Dave H for his assistance: Part of my collection awaits Bill's pen Another collector's inventory waiting on Bill's pen Bill signs my Clark's Point, MA piece (a Father's Day gift this year picked out by my daughter so it has special meaning to me). Bill also liked the piece conversing with the store attendant about how this was part of a fort. Bill signing the remaining Sandollar Shop pieces. Waiting for the drawing of the gold piece.

Bill got a good workout with the pen that's for sure....which brought my mom to ask him how many Harbour Lights pieces/items did he think he had signed over the years? She got a good chuckle and "Heavens No" from Bill when she added "about 50 million?" Here are more images from the event: Sandollar Shop Host Jessica Spivey added this mall poster autographed by Bill as an extra drawing prize. The Prizes The Gold Duxbury Pier Artist Proof Point Vicente, CA Winner Announced Before the Artist Proof Fort Carroll, MD winner was announced, Bill shared his fondness of lighthouses built on forts. The Gold Winner is...... Sue Brady shows her joy as she is announced the winner. Sue, Bill and The Gold

Hey, my only help was a little help fine tuning your efforts. Thanks for sharing! As Ruthie noted, now that you have the concept down we expect more. (Ruthie can't figure it out because she's a blonde . . .)
