Well, I recognize Bass Harbor and the Maine Maritime Museum in Rockland, but not the other lighthouse.

Where's the fog? laugh

YOU SAW QUEEN MARY 2!!!!!

SWEET!!!

Forgot she was on her "Splendours of the Fall" cruise right now...touring New England and Atlantic Canada for about 15 days. This is the prime time for seeing a lot of ships in the Northeast - especially ones like QE2 and Saga Ruby that don't come to America a lot. Many of the Europe-based lines have some kind of month-long adventure over here, with a Europe-NYC and Halifax-Europe crossing built in.

Back on track...

Looks like a lot is going on up there in Acadia (which I think is one of those names for the region). These photos, even captionless, are making me really want to get up there, especially this time of year. And of course, as usual, you've done a great job of cataloguing the trip...you can tell you're in the news business. wink

Looking forward to seeing the rest...

Now to get a tissue to clean up the drool on the keyboard. Between the lighthousing and the QM2, there's a lot of it.

Greg,

I saw QM2 when she and QE2 sailed out of NY harbour together. It was an amazing sight, she is an awesome liner. Hope to get to sail her one day!

Oh, such cute moose they have in Maine.....and they even let them dine indoors!! Judy..you will have to wear that hat at the next Hoosier Lighthousing Club meeting.
Hey Jen....pass the tissues I think I might cry with you. The only thing that is keeping me from going into a complete fit is the thought of Larry and me arriving in Honolulu in about two months from now for a nice two week anniversary trip. Planning on seeing a few lighthouses too.
Glad everyone appears to be having a terrific time and enjoying some awesome food. Hey Dave, was there a slurpy pit stop???? Glad you all had some awesome weather too. Thanks for the pics Paul.

Robert, the other light is Egg Rock, just off shore. Great view from the top of Cadillac Mountain. With such a beautiful day you could also see Winter Harbor Light and off in the way distance, Petit Manan. Much better than the fog.

We had an incredibly long day yesterday (Tuesday). As has been happening this trip, we pushed the envelope on the lighthousing. Seems they had not previously made the trip to include Pemaquid so the amount of time needed was a tad bit off - like two hours. But, I think it was worth it. Paul will be along sometime to help put Jen over the edge.....

Overcast today for our viewing of Goat Island, visit to Wells and climb of Cape Elizabeth. However, no rain for the trip. Many have told us this has been the nicest run of weather in some time and we surely can't complain. More later I'm sure . . . . time now for a little catch up sleep.

It was all spectacular!! Y'all missed a truly fabulous time. We had gorgeous, gorgeous weather until Thursday morning when the last of us were leaving. Oh, and, of course, tons of lobster and blueberries - best blueberry pie and blueberry cake ever! Not to mention the blueberry muffins and pancakes - true blueberry country! Yum, yum!!

My sentiments exactly!! And also I would SOOOOOOOO love to put names to those faces that look like they are having a blast.

Somebody help me out ... I can't be the only one that does not know these faces. I bet I know a huge lot of the names from CF, but can't connect them!

smile

Please be a little more patient.. I am going to start on captions this week.. The hard part now will be getting names and places straight.. I will have to have some help along the way since I am terrible with names.. as far as the places, I have lists as we visited them..
