The Brady's will be going to the Sandollar Shop Event on July 26th then cruising over to the Chesapeake area and visiting some lighthouses. Then we will move on over to the Assateague area to see the wildlife and the lighthouse.

We will also be at the Porcellana Store Event in the Fall, since that is just up the road from my son's home and my grand-daughters will get another chance to see Bill. He and Chloe are big time pals, Natalee hasn't had a chance to meet him yet.

We may just have to go over to St. Charles and go to the Jansen's Clock Shop - June 14th Event and visit with our St. Louis collector friends. Plus Jansen's Clock Shop is now a member of the Forums..

Tony,

Some may have a problem identifying where these stores are located. city and state would certainly help make that a bit easier to do.

Thanks Paul!

I was one of those having problems identifying where these stores are located.

This is probably only interesting to me , but Sue and I have been to every one of these HL dealers at least once in our travels over the years.

At one time, we had been to every dealer in MO, IL, WI, MI, OH, PA, ME, MD, DE, NJ, NC, SC, WV, VA, TN and KY. This was in HL's heyday, we would stop at HL dealers on the way to and from where ever we were going. A lot of these trips were to Bill events.

You may be starting to see where the Wacko in WackoPaul came from. Sue knows for sure!

Daniel,

I'd say that based on what's been announced so far and tony's comments on the support the recent Regionals have gotten I wouldn't bet large on any Regionals this year.

Then ethically speaking, if there is not going to ba a regional, there should not be a "regional piece" for sale. I think there may be a regional, "called a Regional", but without all the fanfare as in the past set up by Dave.

"a" Regional
As in one (1). In these economic times, that's good -- and the earlier we know where and when the better for our travel plans and expenses.

I hope to have these events and the society pieces up by the end of next week. Awaiting copy and preliminary pictures from Mr. Constantino.

Will we be getting info about "a" Regional this week? Here's hoping!

We would like to make plans for a Regional event trip but that is going to get harder as this year slips by. Tony any news? Anybody?

Rotty - I would advise you to email Tony as he doesn't always have the time to read all the Forums.

Yes it would be nice to know asap. Is Dave still going to Nova Scotia? I wanted to go but the cost from Mi. is just to high for me right now.

HCS - As my Webmaster @ HarbourLights.com career has ended, I don't have the information to post. Suggest you contact Tony directly at Harbour Lights.

John,

I am sorry to hear that you are no longer the HL webmaster (Captain). I am assuming that someone at corporate has now, or will be, taking over the reigns.

Thanks for getting the HL website off the ground and administering it for all those years. I know that it helped me out starting out as a collector, back in the day, as I consulted it numerous times for information!

Since your "career", as you put it, is over being the HL webmaster, I believe you now get your "wings" for many years of service, which bumps your status from a saint to an angel!

John. Thanks for everything you did for us collectors who did not have a local dealer to go to see the latest editions. I for one can attest to the fact that a good part of my 300 + HLs were purchased because you paid attention to detail. I'll miss this. I'll also miss your showing the seahorses. Now I'll have to look for the damn things myself.

Appreciate your comments Christopher and WickyWacky. I have a 'retirement thread' and will move these last posts over there when I figure out how to do that.

Yesterday kicked off the In-store event tour!

A non-Bill or Harry in-store event at Hands Of Time, MD.

Anybody know how the turnout was to get a pre-signed Duxbury piece?

As of this moment the Brady's are still planning on going to the HL event at the Jansen's Clock Shop at 608 S Main ST in St Charles MO (636) 949-0033.. The event is running from noon until 4pm this Sunday June 14th. We hope to see all of our fellow Hoosier Lighthouse Club members from the St. Louis area there.

Anybody go to the Collectors World or Millers Lighthouse in-store events?

Checked in with Tony this morning and he said the overall event at Collectors World did very well - in terms of pre-signed and pre-sold event pieces. In the neighborhood of 20 people who stopped by in Eastham to say "Hi."

Also talked to Chris Alex today who echoed what Tony reported.

Tony also said the report from Miller's Lighthouse was comparable. All-in-all good showing at all three events this past weekend.

Sounds like last weekends Cape Annie's In-Store event was a big hit.

I didn't make it up there, but I did make a purchase. Good thing I did, I was one of the 20 raffle winners.

From the list on Cape Annie's website, I can see a few other CF members were winners too. cool

Maybe Jim will post how the turnout was in more detail.

I picked up my Duxbury Light from the non-event at Hands of Time in Savage, Maryland. The thumbnails did not arrive - something about production problems. They are to be mailed to us. Anyone know anything about this?

Returned to Hands of Time last weekend to shop. THEY ARE CLOSING THE SHOP!!! I am so disappointed!! That is all three of the dealers I use down the tubes. This economy must turn around soon! I feel so bad for the people who are losing their businesses.

That truly is bad news as this shop had some of the best offerings around. The list of dealers gets smaller and smaller.
