I dont have to tell anyone what a great time we all had thanks to Dave. I even won a Harbour lights Roanoke light. groupwave I also was told that day by Cyndi that I won on the Forum. I was so excited.
I had a room with Kay and we had shared a car with Cyndi and her Husband Bill. We had a blast. Most of the time we were laughing so hard I thought we would crash.
The only negative was the air conditioner in each hotel was so loud I thought construction was going on in the room but it worked and was cold.

I cant believe I took the boat over to Sabine light, I figuered it will be the only chance I get to do this. The water was up to my ankles. Only a few brave ones did this or are we crazy. After I got back to the other side I thought of alligators snakes and slimmy things could have, well you know. What was I thinking when I went over. Other people have pictures that I hope will post for us.
It was a shame more people could not join us, you missed a fabulous trip.
It is a shame so many have been destroyed.

Dave as usual did a great job with the trip arrangements! He had the food on the boat ride freshly made that day and ordered perfect weather. At Sabine Light he talked the local folks into not only opening the door to the light but also made arrangements to get us over the moat to view the light up close and personal. The aligators and snakes were on break for the day so everyone was able to return safely to dry land. The local folks even made us lunch, they were so happy to see us. With so many AP at the regional there were many happy folks with smiles leaving after the lunch with Bill having signed their piece. Can't wait for the next regional event in August.

Yes, we were crazy at Sabine Pass. haha ... My wife was even crazier than I was, as she trounced through that swamp in flip-flops. She wasn't going to be denied!

I will post some of the Sabine pics that we took here soon.

Enjoyed meeting everyone! Hopefully next time we can make the full regional and trip rather than just one lighthouse.

Here you go Fran....

Fran in boat going over to the Lighthouse.

The swamp we were walking through... ancle deep.

Looking straight down. Heel down toes up to show us walking in the mud. Note that I am bare foot. God only knows what I might have steped on!

Dave and Cyndi even ventured on out to the oil house where it got deeper.

The dry side of our little boat ride.

Fran, We did have a lot of fun didn't we. Bill kept us entertained.

I almost didn't go across on the boat at Sabine. But couldn't pass up on the chance to get a closer look and some great pictures.
