Rip, always a party favorite wherever he goes, was shall we say, somewhat elated at his win. Bill was in dis-belief (denial?) that Nancy drew Rip's name. Now, I want you to look at the expression on his face . . . . is that the look of a person possessed or what??? I can't believe that he left that box and its contents on the bus when they all came in to dinner. We thought about kidnapping the gold but weren't sure if Rip's heart could handle the news that the piece was missing.

All kidding aside, its great to see a friend and all around good guy have such good luck every once in a while. Conratulations, Rip!

RIP was, to put it mildly, speechless and somewhat in a daze after winning the "gold".

Thanks for posting the photo for me Dave. It's just this simple folks, I am just learning and slowly at that! But, I'll keep on until I get the hang of it! At least, with Dave's help,(long distance), this got posted.

I too was shocked when he didn't take the "Gold" off the bus during dinner. Oh well if anyone in the TBHLCC deserved to win, it was RIP.

He left it on the bus? When Lorna won the gold at the Fall Regional in Connecticut just over a year ago, I personally took it into the restaurant when we stopped to eat with some of the gang from the regional. Maybe I'm a little paranoid but the car can be replaced by insurance if stolen. The Gold Cape St. George cannot!

Congratulations on winning the GOLD RIP! Priceless is definitely the word for the picture. How you could have left it on the bus is beyond all telling. I'm with Bob! The car (Bus in your case) can be replaced by insurance.

Gee, Rip, I thought you would take it out of the box at some point. If I had known you were just going to leave it in the box, I would have replaced the gold version with a regular version and a lead weight.

The Rip man is still holding the box? I wonder if his wife Sharon has been able to sleep in their bed yet. I wouldn't be surprised if Rip is still sleeping with the Gold instead!!!

I don't know which was the funnier part - where Bill handed the card back to Nancy and asked her to read the name off because it was just too "painful" for him to read or the part where Rip danced up to the stage to get the Gold?

Either way - Congrats Rip! If anyone deserved to get it I guess it could have been you!

dome over it.I only sleep with it for 2 days.

Well, RIP since you missed the TBHLCC Board meeting last night, we all thought maybe Sharon, would not let you leave the house with the gold lighthouse, so you refused to come! (BTW hope you are feeling better.)

Congrats Rip on winning the Gold! What a great picture! John, love the Wacko World idea. There are plenty of great photographers and some realy good writers in this bunch. Who Knows? (I wonder if Life magazine got started this way? )
