Would you be interested in doing a dinner cruise around the Norfolk harbor on Friday evening? The company that does harbor cruises and picks up in Portsmouth is not doing evening cruises this summer, but we can charter the boat and have a caterer provide dinner. Time frame would be 6 to 9 PM, leaving from and returning to Portsmouth. I would need about 60 people to make this work. I know that some of you will not have returned from your day's adventure on the OBX, but what about the rest of you? Interested?

Should have a cost estimate early next week. I expect it should not be too unreasonable an evening with both the cruise and dinner.

The OBX group will be watching the Bodie Fresnel Lens in all its glory while you are on the dinner cruise. Not too bad!!

I have just sent out an email to those who either indicated an interest or did not respond. Those that I know can not join us should not be getting this one.

Menu for the evening will be a buffet of fried chicken and NC style barbecue along with cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans, corn muffins, rolls and iced tea. The caterer comes highly recommended and is a frequent award winner in the Tidewater area.

You may join us for the evening outing even if you are not participating in the rest of the weekend activities.
