Here's a list of the Organizations who should have representatives at the Harbour Lights Spring Regional

NJ Lighthouse Society
Chesapeake Chapter of US Lighthouse Society
(thanks to Shirin Pagels)
Long Island Chapter of US Lighthouse Society
Hudson River Lighthouse Coalition
Eastern Great Lakes Collector's Club
NELL
Delaware Bay & River Lightkeepers & Friends
East Point Lighthouse
Cape May Lighthouse
Hereford Inlet Lighthouse
Absecon Lighthouse
Tinicum Lighthouse
Sandy Hook Lighthouse
Author Kim Ruth
Author David Veasey
Author Jim Crowley

Thanks for filling the void Shirin.

And of course there will be a large contingent of Wackos there along with the Harbour Lights crew who have done a great deal of work to make an event that we all can enjoy.

See you in NJ on April 6.

Dennis

Dennis and All,

MJ and I are excited that NELL will be part of the Spring Regional in NJ. There are other New England Lighthouse Lovers who are planning to attend and, with all of the wonderful lighthouse groups in attendance, it should be a great time. Of course, it is always great when Harbour Lights sponsors an event and brings the lighthouse community together.

MJ and I will be arriving Friday evening and will be staying overnight Sunday night also. We would love to get together with other lighthouse lovers for a meal at some local restaurant (maybe Saturday after the Regional?). If anyone knows the area and can recommend a place to eat it may be a good idea to get an approximate count of people who wish to do this and give the restaurant a heads up. Designate a time and place and the restaurant can have seating ready.

See you all soon!!

Ron,

I'm going to contact a NJLHS Member who is one of my volunteers for the event who lives very near to the hall.

I'm hoping he can give some ideas for where to eat and then i'll get back and go from there.

The Chesapeake Chapter will now be represented at the regional. Please stop by the table and say hi!

I'm glad that the Chesapeake Chapter will be able to make it Shirin. I look forward to seeing everyone there.

You can all thank Shirin for putting on one of her many hats.

She saw my post about the Chesapeake Chapter not having a representative at the Regional and contacted me to volunteer to do it herself.

The Chesapeake Chapter is having it's own function that day so everyone was already busy.

I told Shirin that I was going to set up a big table for her with 5 chairs- one each for the NJLHS, LI Chapter of USLHS, Chesapeake Chapter of USLHS, Sandy Hook Lighthouse and one chair for her to sit in when she's not using the others.

I don't know when she finds time to work for a living.

Thanks again Shirin.

Thank you Dennis! If you did not post a list of which groups will be at the event I wouldn't have known that the Chesapeake Chapter was close to having no representation!
Between work, lighthousing and starting my own business, time is very precious around here. I probally spend just about the same amount of time with lighthouse related projects as I do at work each week. Now if only I could combine lighthouses and work I would be set!

Thanks again for your help in establishing a table for me!

I was just talking with lighthouse author Jim Crowley and he mentioned that he will be at the Spring regional as well. He will be a representative of the Hudson River Lighthouse Coalition.

Shirin,

Thanks for adding that. I actually meant to put his name on the list at the Hudson River Lighthouse Coalition (which I also got wrong).

Jim sounded very excited about the regional this evening during our conversation. He has a lot to share about what is going on with the Hudson River Coalition. They are a very busy group and are really getting going.

I'm very interested in what he has to say. He put on a great presentation at the December meeting of the NJLHS.

I like his book also. Very informative.
