First thank you for doing this job for all of us. This is a great reminder.

However - the map for this signing in Saginaw is incorrect. When I linked to it, it showed a map of Clarkston Mi which is in the northern Detroit Mi. area. I don't know what happened - the links to the Gross Point and St. Clair Shores signings appeared to be correct, I have not looked at my Detroit maps to be sure. I do know the Saginaw map is bad as I grew up there and the link is nowhere close to Saginaw.
Also when my Father called Block's a couple of weeks ago for me, he was told that 4 pieces could be brought in for signing. Something must have changed since then?

Thanks,
Jim

Thanks Jim,

I will look into the map. When I called today Donna Basner was not there and the information shown was given to me by another store employee. I will call again tomorrow and talk to Donna personally to get this sorted out and make any corrections. My plans are to omit the "limit" sections to save anyone from being misinformed. Everyone should call the dealer before the event and ask for the "manager" or "person in charge of the event". The info they give you should be correct. Jim, I will contact you when I talk to Donna.

Hi again Digger -

I was suprised to see your reply after seeing your message in the Rep. events that you were off to Vegas. Have fun if this is a 'fun' trip, otherwise if the trip is for business then do not work too hard.

Jim

The map problem was resolved this evening - it was a mistake on my part.

In 'calculating' the map URL, I mistakenly used the address, city, state, & Zip code for the dealer on the previous line in my Excel spreadsheet.

So you were seeing a map for the dealer who was just 'above' the one you were trying for -- once the dealers had been alphabetized by 1) State 2) City and 3) Dealer name.

This happened on 9/9 I believe.

My apologies to all who might have been affected.

I will be attending this event at Block's Hallmark on the 19th. This is one of my primary dealers and Donna is a wonderful person to deal with. To any other "Connected Collector" going to Saginaw, I'll be wearing my HL name tag. No F.D. uniform this year.

Digger, when you call Donna, tell her Todd Shorkey says Hi!

Jim,

Donna verified what you were told. You can bring up to 4 pieces with you to be signed. I keep trying the map but everytime it gives me the same map as before.

Todd,

Donna says HI! She said that you better be there!!!!

The problem seems to be with Expedia. I type in the address, city, state and zip and it brings up the map for Clarkston, MI instead of Saginaw, MI. The street # and name is the same but Jim says it's the wrong map.

Thanks for all the information. If any one needs help getting to Block's let me know and I will try to give directions either here, e-mail or phone.

Jim

Should have done this first -
I tried looking at the maps from Expedia and I think I found the problem - there just too many Center Sts. in Saginaw. I finally found the correct pin location for Block's using just the address 46 N Center Saginaw Mi with no zip code. Without the N. I got Center St but not the correct one. The address is -

Since I am not sure how to activate an addresses/links I cannot help there, but I hope the other information above helps. (Thanks to Rod Watson I now do know how to activate links. I hope this helps.)

My offer of directions still stands.

Jim

I did not attend the event, but seeing as how I am originally from Saginaw I had my sister go for me and she picked up Middle Bay for me and had it signed. Can't wait for it to arrive here in Florida. It is always good to have people spread out around the country to do your shopping for you when you can't attend in person. My daughter will be checking out the Christmas in Auburn next month.
