Homer Hickam will be on C-Span2 this evening at 10:20 P.M. (EST). The discussion deals with his latest book "The Keeper's Son". You might want to check your local listings for time and channel in your area. Judy

I caught the end of the press conference on tape. He said that the "Keeper's Son" is the first book of a series he will do on the same characters in different island locations. Bob

Shirin, this was very much like his speech at The Keeper's Weekend and was part of his book tour. I don't think he revealed any new information, other than he is well into writing the second of the trilogy and many of the same characters will be carried into that book. He mentioned again that there is talk of making "The Keeper's Son" into a movie, and something of his previous works is being made into a Hallmark film...memory excapes me, so anyone else who watched last night, please fill this in. He talked about lighthouses being a fairly new found love, and how glad he was to get to know so many of the lighthousing community at the 200th. I simply enjoyed listening to him once again! Judy

I too caught the last half or so of his presentation and it was good to see him again.

I completely forgot about it last night and went to bed early. Plus even if I had been awake, I know a certain someone who wasn't going to give up the tv when he was playing his beloved Zelda game.

I missed it, though I can't entirely blame myself...I was out all day, and when I got home, I stumbled out of the car to bed... More on where I went later.
