This weekend, Bill will be heading my way for a signing event. His only scheduled visit to Indiana this year will have him in northeastern Indiana this Friday:
Friday, May 17 5 PM to 7 PM
Anne's Hallmark #1 535 E Dupont Road Dupont Village Fort Wayne IN 46845 219-637-1174
Come and visit with Bill. Remember that this year there will be one special version of the event piece (the Mark Twain Memorial Lighthouse) given away to a person at each of the signing events. You have to be present to win, and you have to buy an LE or event piece from that store to qualify for the drawing. This is a great opportunity for Hoosier collectors and those from western Ohio and southern Michigan to visit with Bill!
Anyone going to be able to make these events? We will be there, and I expect to also see the Bradys and Watersons, and probably some others from the Hoosier Lighthousing Club. Sign in, and don’t forget to leave a report after the event.
(fwiw, this store is just off of I-69, easy to get to.)

Our new Hoosier rep type lady (Bill's term), Mindy, with Bill.... the guy on Bill's other shoulder?? Her fiance, Kurt Wagoner ("sugar pie" Mindy's term), wedding in November... Mindy survived her first Wacko encounter... 9 of us were at the signing... [This message has been edited by engbrady (edited 05-23-2002).]

WOW....what a wonderful experience Larry and I had at the Fort Wayne signing event at Anne's Hallmark, which happens to be the location we purchase most of our pieces. I couldn't believe that we took home the gold yesterday. And to top it off we had a wonderful dinner with Dave H. and his nice family. The rain sure didn't dampen our spirits. Larry and I actually left with 5 new lighthouses. Can't wait for Rosemont!! Kat

Paul has shared with us that Larry Waterson was the winner of the gold tower at this event. Perhaps a little more information is appropriate. The first person whose name was drawn as winner was not present (remember, you must be present to win the gold tower. Kat immediatley urged Bill to pick another, and Larry encouraged her to "move up closer". Well, when Larry's name was called, Kat went into the "happy dance" routine - sorry for the blur, but I'm sure you understand... Kat immediatley took possession of the winnings, eyeing it carefully... The crowd was quick to remind Bill that Larry was the one whose name was called. As he took it from Kat to give to Larry, we enjoy this reaction... In fairness, I did hear a discussion that Kat wrote Larry's name on the entries. I'm sure they will share the new gold tower. There were a number of folks who waited to the end of the event to see how they did in the drawings (four of the families were Hoosier Lighthousing Club members). Congratulations to Larry and Kat on their win. Dave [This message has been edited by Dave H (edited 05-21-2002).]
