For the next stops on the 2002 BY Signing Tour, we will travel to the state that is host to this year’s special event piece. On Friday and Saturday, there are 3 events in the St. Louis area:

Friday, March 8
6 to 8 PM

Jansen's
608 South Main Street
Saint Charles, MO 63301
314-949-0033

Saturday, March 9
noon – 2 PM

Johnnie Brock’s
4320 Hampton Village
Saint Louis, MO 63109
314-752-4438

Saturday, March 9
3 to 5 PM

Gifts 'N Things Inc
61 Chesterfield Mall
Chesterfield, MO 63017
314-532-9532

How many of the Gateway Lighthousekeepers will be at these events? Lots of Connected Collectors in this area, so we expect reports from you on these events! Don’t forget to call and get your event piece, the Mark Twain Memorial Lighthouse. Remember, each purchase of an event piece or LE qualifies you for that store’s special drawing at the end of the event for a special Gold Tower piece! (must be present to win, requires purchase at that specific store for entry)

Sign in if you plan on attending. And remember to wear your official Wacko Name Tag (you did order yours, didn’t you???)

Dave

Yes we will be there... Sue is originally from Missouri and with all of the Hoosier Lighthousing Club members from St Louis at the events I know we will feel right at home.

Paul, as you are heading out of town on 79 south, just as you are going up the big hill there is a "lovers leap" that should provide a photo op from about 1 mile away, since you and the lighthouse will be on hills you will be overlooking downtown. Also if you notice the flood wall around downtown, if was just finished a few months before the great flood of 93' where the water crested only a few inches from the top of the wall.

We were in St Louis already before I read you post... My Photoshop Program has a problem with it so no images until I get back home...

We spent noon time with Bill, the Mayor of Hannibal and others at the lighthouse where Bill made some presentations and he got the key to the city. It was real overcast but no rain at least and everybody had an enjoyable time... There were two area TV staions coverning the event along with a newspaper photograher and later in town the local radio station sent a reporter over to interview Bill for a daily show he does..

A really big turnout at Jansen's Bill Event..
The Gate Way club joined the Hoosier Lighthousing club members in having a great supper and swapping lighthousing tales at Lewis & Clark's restaurant after the event.
I didn't know those guys had time to start up a restaurant while mapping the Louisiana Purchase....
Pictures to be added upon return to Indy..

Paul,

Thanks for the updates, sure wish I could be there with you though. Glad to hear BY and Harbour Lights getting some good publicity. Thanks again.

Want to make a guess as to which connected collector joined the Gold lighthouse club this weekend in St. Louis?

Guess what very gracious collector gave up winning a Gold Mark Twain at the Gifts'n Things event... after her husband had won one early in the day at the Jonnie Brock's event in St. Louis....

Looks like the connected collectors of Harbour Lights might have more gold than Fort Knox!

Congrats to the new members of the HL Gold Club! Thanks for the great pics, Paul!

Congrats Carolyn and Roy on the Gold! And thanks for demonstrating some amazing integrity. Most people would have thought of how much they could have sold the extra one for. But then it just seems that the connected collectors here on the forums are a wonderful, special, amazing group of people. Way to go!!

Congrats to Carolyn and Roy. It is nice to see not only a very deserving couple win the gold, but then to share the wealth with another collector is wonderful as well. They are true collector's with a heart of gold!
