Anyone out there plan on attending the St Augustine Lighthouse Festival on March 15th? I know Bill Younger is going to be there signing the new pieces coming out. There is also a Budlight 5K race to be held. Anyone else have any info? Who all is planning on going?

I'll be there, but, not for the race. Too hot, too tiring and TOO OLD. I'll be the fat guy with the Coast Guard hat.

Rich cool

Been there, done that, got the T-shirt!! If you missed the event at St Augie today, you missed a good one. The rain that everyone was calling for never showed up, laugh and the sun was in and out all day. I saw a few of the other Wackos wearing their badges, RIP Puls, Flacoastie & his wife, and Jim Chesher. All in all it was a great day for lighthousing! cool

What a fantastic day for St. Augustine. Sunny, 72 degrees, breezy and NOT CROWDED! The rain prediction must have kept a lot of collectors away. I know it was nip and tuck about going until 5:30 AM when I decided that the rain was going to miss St. Augustine until at least the afternoon. Kim and Bill were in TOP FORM also.

This is a picture of Bill's brother in front of the Lighthouse museum. You can see the St Augustine lighthouse keeper’s house in the background.

Bill and Rip on the museum front porch just after the golden Clair Channel give away.

Wayne Hawes, Bill and Kim was posing for a picture (I think was for the store), when I jumped in and got this shot.

The signing was held on the front porch at the St Augustine lighthouse museum.
Kim and Bill were having a good time. They seemed to never agree and it usually seems like Kim always gets her way. Well almost. Colossus Rhodes was one exception. The real Rhodes was supposedly naked and Bill thought it would be more proper to have him dressed for their limited edition. Kim Laughing disagree and said that she lost the vote and wanted the statue to be naked and anatomically correct.

I told Bill Y. about Bill H.’s idea about writing in the legacy more about the production of the lighthouses. Why the lighthouse was made and how they went about getting the information for designing it. Bill said that they use to make a tape for each lighthouse, but just got away from it. He said that they should start it up again.

There was a little surprise waiting for the first 100 people and I mean little. Kim and Bill were giving away Clair Channel thumbnails. There was only 1000 made and they are to be given out at signings. Kim said that they would not be handed out regionals.

Cool pictures Daniel. I can't remember the name of the lady in bottom picture, but the gentleman in the yellow shirt is Wayne Hawes, the president of the Tampa Bay Harbour Lights Club, ,and the Florida Lighthouse assoc.

Also, will the thumbnails be given away at all signing events, or just Bill events???

You mentioned my name? You mentioned my name? Did he reply with, "Why that dirty rotton..."

Seriously, thanks for passing my ideas on to the chief.

MelJB, I don't remember the lady's name. She bought 20 HLs from the Store that day and had 20 entries in the pot(each one seemed to have a different name on it though, IE she put her name on some, and her nickname on the others after she got tired of writing). She actually won 3 of the other 5 items given out, but she was nice enough to let Bill keep drawing names, after the first one, but she did keep the gold!!
The gentleman in Daniel's second picture who has his back to the camera, he was called Dr. E, won 2 of the items, but also let Bill draw another name on the second item he won.
