I just received a post card from Harbour Lights regarding the Chesapeake regional Event in September. I have it on my calendar and will be going. Anyone else planning on attending?

I'm hoping to actually make this one, but I have prior commitments i have to move around so here goes:
Anyone with a button from Chesapeake that they wish to part with, I'd like to have it. i'm trying for a full set. i am willing to donate an appropriate amount to the Lighthouse project of your choice. This offer stands for all other Regional events as well ( I have already been lucky enought to get ones from Milwaukee and Orlando) Thanks in advance.
I'd love to get to see some of you in person, but I may have to settle for an instore in Delaware in October.

I'll be attending, Tim. And I'm hoping that some of the members of our "Mid-Atlantic Collectors Club" will be coming also. We are a relatively small group...and haven't seen much of each other over the summer but this will be our first opportunity to do a trip together. To Dennis and Randall....if you want me to pick up a pin...just send me an e-mail and let me know.

I just returned from the Chesapeake Regional Event and we had a GREAT time. Mike Kaiser and I drove down, and other Wacko's attending were John and Betty O'Brien (who had a lucky day), Ken Reese, Hal and Betty Dean, Lonnie, Coleen, and Brittany Davidson, and Brent. I hope that I didn't miss anyone else. Nancy and Bill and the local rep did a great job and Harbour Lights was very generous, giving away 24 full size lights, 24 little lights, and about a dozen HL shirts. It was a well attended event and Bill was signing for at least 20 minutes after the event ended. We took some pictures which will be posted when the film is processed. Jim Johnson

So Jim, how many attended the event? I hope there were a few more the the above mentioned 14 people, although that's a great group you mentioned. SaintWackoPaul ' Keep the Flame

Paul, I would guess that there were between 250 to 300 people there yesterday. Jim Johnson

Thanks for the report Jim. Just how lucky were the O'Briens? (Other than the obvious luck of being able to attend the Regional.) Great that you and Kaiz were able to attend. Hopefully you got a group picture of the Forum Wackos in attendance.

This was my first HL event (ever) and I have to say that I really had a nice time. Everyone was so helpful and nice. After buying HL's for the last 8 years this was my first opportunity to talk with Bill & Nancy. Its amazing to me how Bill stood up there at those "signing tables" for over 2 hours (non-stop) without taking a single break. To those "Wacko's" that I had the opportunity to meet while being there...."it was great meeting you and I hope we have the opportunity to meet again". It took me about 6 hours to drive up to Woodbridge....but it was well worth it!!!
