The weekend after a fabulous Collectors Family Reunion, we find Bill making his final scheduled Midwest signing trip this year. Today Bill is moving south from Alpena, towards the “thumb” area.

Sunday, October 14
1 PM to 3 PM

Lawler’s Hallmark is # 660
6800 Eastman Road
Suite 660
Midland MI 48640
517-832-5933

This will be your chance to get the event piece, Yerba Buena and to visit a really fascinating store. Be sure to call ahead to reserve yours.

Who will be in attendance? Todd, do you get the day off? Please sign in and please share a report with us.

Dave

Marla and I both have the day off and plan on attending. I have already called and reserved my Yerba Buena piece and we are looking forward to asking Bill for gossip on the reunion.

Report to follow....

The event in Midland at Lawler's Hallmark was well attended by Harbour Lights collectors and by people walking by who got caught up in the festivities. The store had a fine display of pieces right up in front of the store near Bill's signing table and area HL Rep. Nelson Debendet did a great job giving the history and stories of the different pieces. He told me that the SOL piece has been in great demand since 9-11. All of the SOL pieces they took to the lighthouse festival in Alpena sold out quickly and the pieces at Lawler's were going quickly as well.

There was a steady line of people getting pieces signed, or asking Bill questions. I did ask about the next reunion and the Great Lakes, but again Bill brought up the space/location issue. I got the impression that he would like to have a reunion in the Great Lakes region if the right location could be found.

It was great to hear Bill talk about the Baltimore reunion as well the others at the signing who had just returned from Baltimore days before. I was able to see some of the reunion pieces/minis in person too. They look great!

The Yerba Buena Event Piece sold out fast, so I was glad that I had one reserved beforehand.

I also got in my plugs in for the Saginaw River Rear Range Light as well(note the shirt). We talked about the progression of the restoration and how it was featured in the Legendary Lighthouses series. As always, all in attendance had a great time!

Todd,

Thanks for the report and pics. Glad you and Marla had a good time. Presume Bill's answer on the Saginaw River Rear Range Light was "yes, we plan to make that one"?

Thanks Todd! Enjoyed seeing "your lighthouse" on Legendary Lighthouses the other night. It would be really great if it, as well as the other lights that so many forums members are working on so diligently, could be produced by HL!

With your insider contacts at Saginaw light, you'll undoubtedly know that it's in the works when HL begins.

It was great to see Ft. Gratiot, Pointe Aux Barques, Port Austin Reef and Saginaw River RR on Legendary Lighthouses!!!

Todd - looks like you dropped a few pounds. Looookkkkinnnng Goooood.
