Bill is headed for NELL country. This weekend he will make a quick trip east to visit all his NELL friends, and maybe pick up some NE seafood.

Saturday, June 22
1 PM to 3 PM

Taylor'D Touch
344 N Main
POBOX 27
Marlborough CT 06447
860-295-9377

Come and visit with Bill. Remember that this year there will be one special version of the event piece (the Mark Twain Memorial Lighthouse ) given away to a person at each of the signing events. You have to be present to win, and you have to buy an LE or event piece from that store to qualify for the drawing.

Who all will be able to make these events? Which of our many NELL members will be at the event? Ron & MJ? Frank? Shirin? (to name just a few of the Wackos within range.) Sign in, and don’t forget to leave a report after the event.

Dave

Hey Dave,

Thanks for the heads up. I didn't realize that this event was only 2 hours away from home for me. Thats a short lighthousing daytrip. I'll have to head up there this weekend.

Anyone else headed to the event?

Shirin - MJ and I will be there on Saturday to set up a NELL recruitment table. Mark Taylor has some very special things planned, including a "Make Your Own Ice Cream Sunday" time slot. It will be nice to see you again. Bob Taylor, Ron & Shirley Drummer and several other NELL members will also be in attendance.

The following day we will be heading up to Collectors World for a repeat performance with Chris & Maria Alex.

I agree Dave.......if you are Ms NELL you must be prepared to dress like Ms NELL. See you later today, Shirin. Dave, I'll have my camera with me just in case the crowd wishes to pose with Ms NELL.

Ok, ok, the crown is in my camera bag and ready to go. I figured that is a safe place since the cameras go everywhere with me other than work. And my wacko badge and pin are in the bag as well.

Well it was a toasty one outside yesterday at Taylor'D Touch. The ice cream sundaes made all the difference though. Many NELL members and others stuck it out to the end to see who would go home with the special event piece.

And the winner was.....

...Mary Jane Foster! Congrats Mary Jane!!!

Here is a group shot as well.

Thank you all for the Cogratulations!! It was quite a thrill to have my name called as the winner of the Gold Hannibal, MO Lighthouse. It is so heavy that I had to have our granddaughter, Lexis, help me carry it.

The following are the names of the people in the group picture that Shirin posted above, starting in the back row and working left to right.

(Back Row) Jim Streeter, Ron Foster, Bill Briggs, Dan Bartoes, Ron Drummer, Tom Pregman, Bob Taylor (who is listed on the Harbour Lights Website as having found more hippocampus on Harbour Lights lighthouses than any other collector), Mark Taylor (Co-owner, Taylor'd Touch).

(Middle Row) Penn Bailey (Harbour Lights Rep who is always cheerful), Irma Streeter, MJ Foster, Lexis Foster, Christine Briggs, Elizabeth Briggs, Arlene Pregman, Shirley Drummer,Beverly Taylor (Co-owner, Taylor'd Touch).

(Front Row) Bill, Penny Patch-Bartnicki, Shirin Pagels.

I let Ron hold the "Gold" and he agreed to let me put it in "his" curio cabinet.

Thank you Shirin for posting the picture as Ron's camera batteries were not charged enough and half of the pictures he took did not come out (including the ones he took of Lexis and I with Bill).

Congratulations Mary Jane.Hope Ron doesn't charge you too much rent for space in his curio.

Shirin, I thought you were supposed to be wearing your tiara?????????

Dave
p.s. thanks for posting the pics, even if you didn't wear your proper attire.

Congratulations MJ!!!

If Ron ever says you can't display it in his case - you can always use ours at the Cape.

Dave, at least I had my wacko badge and pin on. I didn't see anyone else with theirs!

MJ, congrats again and I will be sure to send you and Ron some pictures shortly. Thanks for posting the names of everyone in the group shot.

Congratulations MJ! The NELL tradition of putting your better halfs' name on the ticket continues to work! Right Bob M and Ron? I guess Lexis can also be given credit for some good luck. Couldn't happen to a nicer lighthouse loving family. How generous of Ron to find you a place to display it.

MJ - Congrats on the Gold. A better person could not have won!! Now remember, you have to give the next gold to the Streeters - It's in the rule book. I have the rule book if you'd like to review it - or better yet, if you need to see that specific rule I will just retype it and forward it to you.
