You wanted more, her you go! Fresh off the easel. I call it "Early Morning Solitude". Thomas Point on an 18"x24" canvas. The colors on the original are something to be seen! [This message has been edited by Gravedigger (edited 01-08-2001).]

OK Digger! Another work of beauty. If you don't have a home for it yet, since it happens to be Bill's favorite light, set a price for it, let all the wacko's contribute toward the price and we can present it to Bill at the reunion. I think that it is the nicest picture of Thomas Point that I have seen. Jim Johnson

I second JJ's idea, Digger. This would be a great gift for Bill & Nancy at the Reunion.

Sorry folks, This one was a commissioned piece. HL's has contacted me about doing a painting of Thomas Point for them to present to Bill at the reunion. We need to put our heads together and decide on another light that can be given to Bill & Nancy from the forum members.

Another fantastic picture, Digger! We may have to keep you snowed in more often so you can keep on painting!
For a picture for Bill, how about some sort of then & now picture of Hooper Strait - in the water and at the museum, or at the museum as the primary focus with the original location in the background?

Digger, Absolutely wonderful. You have a great gift. Thomas Point was the first HL in our collection. Wish it was going to be in our living room.

Beautiful work, Digger. As far as the reunion...you may want to consider doing the lightship "Chesapeake" as she sits in her berth in Baltimore's Inner-Harbor. Its just a thought, Digger....I'm sure that whatever you decide to do, it'll be wonderful. Thanks for posting yet another piece for all of us to admire.

I'm facinated by the PROCESS of creating a painting as beautiful as yours, Digger.
How about taking a series of photos as you create the next one showing how it starts and at various stages along the way?

Great idea John! I'm amazed at the process of laying on of different colors and turning it into a work of art. I would love to see the process too. Tim - Keeping the flame lit...

Ask and you shall receive. It's too late to do this on my current painting which is nearing completion. I will make sure to photograph the next one in steps and post them. Good idea! Any particular light you want done next? I have about 2 days before I can start on the next one.

How about The Eddystone Light?
This might also fulfill the need for a gift painting for Bill & Nancy as it is obviously very special to Harbour Lights since they are using it for their 10th Anniversary Year.

Digger! That is completely awesome I would love to see you paint Alcatraz! Getting to see you paint your painting in steps is a great idea maybe a little guessing game to go along with it....Who can guess which light you have picked as the steps go on?
A DAY ISN'T A DAY UNLESS YOU'VE SEEN A LIGHT!!LAINEY

Digger, You are truly a fine artist. I have an idea for a future painting. Maybe I could persuade you to do a painting of the Pottawatomie Lighthouse on Rock Island that our club is restoring. We attend the Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival yearly and make donations to the sharing auction. A painting as great as your would bring in a nice contribution for all Great Lakes Lighthouses. Please consider.
PS As nice as paintings as they are, I sure would try to be the top bidder on that one.
