Good Friday Afternoon!

Yes, I am still hard at work! Causing lots of mischief behind the scenes! There are some surprises out there - you truly have to be out on the hunt!
I have completed and the 2008 Instore Event Calendar has been approved! It will be released in the April Legacy!
Please do not call Customer Service - they have not seen it!

AJC

The list of in-store and lighthouse event appearances has been updated at:

www.harbourlights.com/events/

Just 7 Bill events starting Aug 9 and ending Oct 26.

Harry will be at the Long Island Challenge and the Great Lakes Lighthouse Festivals (no store event or gold pieces at those two events.)

Good Friday Morning!
HL 800 2008 Instore Event Replica will be offered at both the Long Island Challenge and the Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival!

And perhaps a "golden" surprise!

Will the Loon Island piece be available for mail order purchase at the Long Island LC? If so, will it be signed by Harry?

Great idea to offer the HL800 Event piece and a drawing for the gold at special events where a important HL personality is present.

I was just about ready to email Tony and ask why our special Michigan Lighthouse Festival in Alpena held every Fall was excluded with the *.

Maybe the title of HL800 "In store event piece" needs modification so as not to exclude these special events that are not technically "in store".

Actually, they need to do away with two special pieces, reduce it to one at most. I suggested that last year. Since the special events are not HL dealers they normally would not be allowed to sell the pieces.

And, sorry, but I don't support the offering of a gold piece at these events. People are able to purchase only one piece that would be considered a full size HL piece. Nice that they profits from sale of the signing pieces should go to support a preservation project, but there is not a justification for giving a gold.

Dave

Were you thinking of eliminating the Regional Event piece and just going with the"In-store" event piece?

I was thinking that at the special events with a HL personality that the full size HL purchase requirement would be met by a local HL dealer on site. This dealer would put up a HL display at the event and sell the In-store event piece along with any of the other HL pieces on display. People would be told that buying a full size HL piece would qualify them for the gold drawing.

I would hope that this would be another opportunity for HL to catch those who come to a special event that might not go to the traditional In-store event. For some collectors it could be much more convenient to do the In-
store event at a special event like our Great Lakes Lighthouse Festival in Alpena, Michigan every October, IMHO. Max

I don't care what they call it, but there should be only one piece for special events or signings or regionals or anything related.

Personally, I think it is probably time to do away with the gold pieces other than to possibly do a mail in for one or two pieces for everyone to be eligible for. With as few events as there are, there really is not the opportunity for many to get to an event in person.

Of course, this could all be a non issue as we are presuming there will be signing and/or regional events in 2009.

Hi Loon,
I'm told I will have the Loon Island piece, and Harry will be here to sign it. I'll start a new topic when I have all the details.

Hopefully it can be purchased via mail, and since I haven't purchased my LI LLOM's, I may buy them at the same time.

Hi Loon,
I don't have any official info on the Loon Island piece but I have you on my waiting list along with Randall. Anyone else that is interested can email me, and I'll be sure to save you one. The sale will be done by a check and mailed similar to the Little Lights
thanks for your interest.
Bob

Put me down for one of the Loon Island pieces. Just let us know, and then obviously you'll be receiving some checks.

Thank You.
