Hi All - I got my Baltimore gift today, and I know this isn't the place to announce it, but this should be my first post as a WACKO which is far more important than my birthday. Huzzahs, hurrahs and other congratulations are unnecessary. Just wanted to share.

Does someone else want to claim my unofficial title of longest collecting newbie?

Hi Sunshine - It was always a self-inflicted unofficial title. You can have it, "unofficially" of course. I purchased Portland Head in December 1992, and finally became a WACKO in May of 99. It took me six and a half years.

You have to answer the following questions or accept the conditions:

I have been collecting for ____ years/months.

Nobody else has laid claim to this title.
Yes/No.

I'm just silly enough to claim it. Yes/No

If you answered anything to question #1, no to question #2, and yes to #3, it's yours.

1992 must have been the year to purchase Portland Head. I got mine in San Fransico while on vacation. I've been hooked ever since.

No, it doesn't look appear that anyone else has claimed the title.

Yes, I'm probably silly enough to want the title, as my family and friends already think I'm a little nuts and should commit myself to a good Lighthouse Anonymous group.

I'm sure there are other nuts who could claim the title but until someone wants it, I'll be happy to add another momento to my colletion of Harbour Lights.

I started collecting in November 1991 Admiralty Head was my first lighthouse and I'm just silly enough to claim the title of the new longest collecting newbie lol

What's really nice about an unofficial title is that you can both have it. I would congratulate you both, but since it's such a dubious honor to begin with, you have my condolences. (LOL)
