Well, Larry and I arrived at the Surgical Center for orthopaedic surgeries around 08:30a.m. and they were wheeling him back to the surgical suite at around 11:00. They blocked the nerve in his left arm so it was numb until the next day. He was in recovery at around 1:30pm and the doctor said everything went well and he was able to pull the torn muscle back into position and repair it. Larry has had very little discomfort so far which I feel is a miracle. Right before surgery the doctors were telling him this was the most painful surgery you can have. I prayed that he would do well. Faith really can move mountains. After recovery they took him to one of the overnight suites....which literally looked like a hotel room. It was very nice except they lost there ability to pick up cable over the weekend. But let me tell you that is a minor glitch compared to what we were expecting with pain. We arrived back home this morning both tired just from the stress and lack of sleep. Larry said his bed wasn't that comfortable and I slept on a couch, althought it wasn't to bad! Larry's left arm is in a sling that also immobilizes it and he is suppose to wear that when he is up moving around and when he goes to bed. He has excercises that he has to do already but nothing terribly major. The incision is about 6 inches and has several staples in it and the area is swollen a bit. We are icing it every hour and he is taking ibuprofin 3 times a day along with his pain meds when he needs them. We will be going up to Walmart tomorrow or Thursday for some cheap slip on shoes as he does not own any and he can't tie his shoes by himself on the days I am at work. Thanks to all who were saying prayers for Larry and I you are all appreciated and loved. Keep them coming for a successful rehad. God Bless You All. The Waterson's Larry and Kat

Excellent news, Kat and Larry. I hope the recovery and rehab continue in the same vein and that Larry will have full use of his arm very soon.
