This is the first year that I got a lighthouse for Father's Day. I have gotten lighthouse items in the past, but never a figurine. The times have changed! I received a Marshall Point and it will always be remembered for being my favorite Father's Day gift! Thank You Andy and Karen!
OK Dads, time to speak up!

I told my son that since my birthday was June 11, anniversary June 12 and Fathers Day June 17, that he had to get me 3 gifts in less than a week! Well, that was like talking to a rock! Kidding aside, he did get me a wonderful Palm M105 handheld computer that will come in very handy. Thanks Ryan!

Well since you asked, I received a beautiful watch with the C-4 Corvette logo on it and a "California Duster" to wisk the pollen and dust off the Vette between washings. I was also good to myself and ordered new original style mats for the Vette. I also contacted John at Bayside Treasures in Toledo to confirm my desire to reserve the rest of the 2001 releases including the new AB release. The folks at Bayside Treasures are wonderful to do business with!

I got to spend my first Fathers Day with my beautiful Wife and our beautiful new Daughter doing just what I like, visiting our H.L. dealr to confirm with them the new L.E.'s we want. Then a little relaxing, a steak on the grill and most importantly, the work cell phone never rang. Life is good!

Mike

(That is of course, after spending Saturday with my Dad down at the regional. Probably the best gift I could give the guy who has everything)

Hey Mike... your cell phone quiet too? That's great news. Mine stayed quiet as well. Thank the Lord for small miracles!

After church on Sunday morning, Jackie, Kristen and David took me out to dinner. I got home and was given a present to go with the new house. They gave me a new Porter Cable 19.1 volt cordless drill, something I have been eyeing for some time. A man and his power tools... it's a beautiful thing!

Cordless drills are a great manly toy! I got one for Father's Day two years ago and don't really know how I lived without it in the past. I use it as often as I can. I find myself using screws instead of nails when I build something. It sure makes it alot easier to take things apart if necessary.

Cell phones not ringing? Post your cell number here and we can solve that problem in a hurry, especially if you post every hundredth caller gets a free HL! lol

I finally found a gift that my father kept and didn't make me return to the store. There isn't any animal that my father doesn't like. I wanted to get him a dog in the worst way, but my mother says NO! A new store called Nature's Kingdom opened in the local mall and they carry a line of animal statues, (similar to the HL's material and also made in China). These statues are absolutely lifelike and the nicest I have ever seen. I bought him an antelope and for Christmas, an elk. When he saw the antelope, he couldn't stop talking about how well it was painted. It almost looks like it has real fur, it is painted so well. He took it and put it in his wall unit in his den. For once, I bought the perfect gift and he didn't complain that it cost too much.
