Thank you Sean for the post.
With a heavy heart, acknowledged are two family members who paid the ultimate price for doing that which they loved. Those feelings are echoed service wide as a result of the close knit unity each Coastie shares as a member of a small service with great responsibilities.
As young Seaman, taught is the unwritten motto, "You have to go out, but you don't have to come back." As tempest seas prevailed, I considered it an honor to be a part of an organization that gave so much to so many others. I know that Sean, Rich and the others who served feel the very same way. Surely, Petty Officer Scott Chism, Seaman Chris Ferreby and the others who have gone on before us would express, "My life, my all, my sacred honor."
To the family and friends, my most heartfelt condolences.
Tim - Proud to have served.
