Back in April, Jake started a thread of favorite quotes. I thought about adding this one to that thread then, but decided to wait until now. Next Sunday, Aug. 15th is our 30th anniversary, and I'd like attribute this miracle to my wife, Cam, who has put up with a lot from me in all those years. She is a very special person, and I just thought I'd share my thoughts with the special community of HL collectors.

The quote..."I can think of no journey on which I would rather have embarked than my stroll through life with her at my side."

Should you care to give her your congratulations or condolences, I will be delighted to share them with her next Sunday. I'll tell you where the quote came from then as well, unless one you trivia experts comes up with it before then.

OK - I lied, or rather, I used "artistic license." Actually, I went back and listened to the movie again, and I got the quote a little "wrong." It was Errol Flynn talking to Olivia DeHaviland in the 1942 flick, "They Died With Their Boots On." He played the part of George Custer and actually said to her, "I can't imagine any pleasanter journey than walking through life with you beside me."

Thanks Todd, Derith & Ghost. Had a great time and still looking forward to the next 30. Poor Cam. School started at the college today, so I'll be very busy the next couple of weeks, That's why only an overnighter for this anniversary. We'll have to make up for it in a few years when I can really retire.
