Well, it was quite a bit earlier than we expected, but we have a new litte girl in the Walsh household. Michelle Lynne Walsh was born on Tuesday March 1st at 7:15 p.m. Patti was actually due on April 10th, so as you can imagine we we're a bit surprised whaen they told us to head to the hospital after Patti's ultrasound last Tuesday. She weighed 3 lb, 11 oz. at birth, and other than tha fact that she'll need to remain at the hospital for around a month, she's doing well. Mom's home and doing fine as well. Keep us in your prayers.

I'm glad to read that Patti and the baby are doing ok. I'm sure that was quite a surprise as well as a bit scary to deliver earlier than expected. It's amazing how well preemies can do with all the modern medicine today.

Congrats on the new baby and our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family.

Congratulations to Maggie, Mike, and Patty! I am so hoping for another girl. We'll hopefully get to find out next week. I'll be 18 weeks this Thursday at my next OB appointment. Your family is in my prayers for a healthy journey ahead. Best wishes!

Our son Chris made his debut about 5 weeks early as well -- (but he's been late for just about everything else we ask him to do!)

Michelle Lynn and the whole Walsh family will be in my prayers. Please let us know when she comes home -- and PICTURES, we want PICTURES!

Don't feel bad about not knowing how to post images. This makes a total of eight of us who have admitted that we don't have a clue as to what to do.

Thanks for all of your kind thoughts and prayers. We just passed the one week mark yesterday. Michelle is doing well so far. She has had a few problems that are common to preemies, but nothing that alarms the doctors. She has a bit of apnea that caused her breathing to slow a bit during feeding and other times, but they have her on, of all things caffine for it. This will cure itself as her lungs get stronger and more developed. Otherwise, she's back up to her birth weight and now we look for her to just gain from here on out.

It was a hectic week that's for sure. But I suspect the next month will go by quickly. They're hoping now she can come home the first week in April or sooner.

As for pictures, Dave informed me how to post them now I just have to remember to bring the disc back in and do it.

Michelle is coming home today. She will be on a breathing monitor for a couple of months but we will be glad to end the two a day trips to the hospital and get back to some measure of normalcy. Thanks for all of your kind thoughts and prayers. Hopefully Michelle can make her debut at the Door County lighthouse event, but we'll have to see.

Great news for the Walsh family! Looks like Maggie is a pretty happy big sister. Glad things will be able to settle down for you a bit (like that is going to happen with a new baby...)

Glad Michelle is doing well enough to come home. Maggie looks pretty happy about having a baby sister. Mom looks happy too. It goes without saying that Dad is happy too.
