Chloe got her first lighthouse while her mom is on the phone to a friend, giving her the latest update...



The latest is that it is going to be a long night for Chad and Barb as it has begun, with a little help from the doctors... next check up will be at 3:00am for the next stage depending on what what happens until then.. Chloe probaby will be born sometime after that!!

That's wonderful news for Chad & Barb. I know they went through alot of the similar steps Becki and I did to have Sean & Ryan. It's really great to know their time and effort paid off with their beautiful and healthy Christmas present! It's a blessing from God when a loving couple desires a child so much, and are finally granted their wish.

Chloe is in our prayers for a healthy future and alot of strength for climbing those lights that grandpa will eventually require.

They're hooked. Official Grandpa and Grandma. They will be buying less lighthouses and more baby girl stuff. Notice how the photos have already changed. Your vocabulalry will also change. Paul and Sue will be walking through a mall and instead of looking at new lights, they will be in the baby department, saying "Aw isn't that little outfit cute, it would look great on Chloe." Then they will be seen in toy department. "We gotta get that new toy"

Chloe already has her clothes thorough 18 months covered... Grandpaul made sure of that at Christmas time by shopping at the outlet mall in Michigan City before our club's lighting of the Christmas lights at the lighthouse..

I don't how I missed this either.

Anyway...what a beautiful little girl. Congrats to all the Brady family.

My youngest sister also had her first baby that same day. She had a little girl that she named Maggie.

You might have noticed in the above pictures that Chad had long hair...there is more to the story than meets the eye.

Chad and Barb (accompanied by Grandma Sue) brought Chloe with them to Indy this past Tuesday to the Hair Designer (Owned and operated by Cathy Bolejack, shown here) for a haircut. Not just any haircut...


Cathy has been cutting Chad's hair for about 31 yrs of his 33 yrs, except for the trims during the last 3.5 yrs.

Chad and Barb have been trying to have Chloe for several years....it has been a long, difficult process with a lot of prayers. One of the prayers was a promise to God to cut and donate his hair to Locks of Love. Locks of Love is a program that makes wigs for children who have lost their hair due to treatment of health problems.


His hair was washed, dried, pony-tailed and then the big moment of the cut...his ponytail donation was 12", 2" more than the minimum needed.


Cathy finished up Chad's haircut to a really cool look. Then, WISH TV photographer, Bill Fisher, (31 yrs at WISH) and I took the video back to the station and put together a story and shared it with the Indy market to encourage others to donate their hair to Locks of Love to help a child.

The piece on WISH Tuesday evening was a very nice one. Everyone but Paul was shown at least once.

Congrats to everyone involved! A great cause. And an extra blessing. Chloe will appreciate it later in life.

The story is going to air again Sunday morning in Indy in our Daybreak News Show at around 8:50AM and in Cincinnati, Chad's station WLWT-TV 5 is airing the story, on their Sunday Morning News Show about 7:10am-7:15am and again about 10:10am-10:15am, this weekend, also..

Okay, that dispels the "Chad the Hippie" theory. What a great story!

Chad sent Sue and I an image of Chloe this week, since we haven't seen her for three weeks.. He called the jpeg smile..



It's the desktop image on my computer at work.. It gets a lot of smiles..
