Good News First! Some of you may know that I lost my job through job relocation last year. After 24 years with Citi I had to start job searching again. After applying for numerous jobs, some that I got interviews with, and some I never even heard back from, I received a job offer that I was really happy to accept! I begin work as a Sr Business Analyst on July 2. laugh

Bad News now; For the last 2 and 1/2 months I have been having some health problems. I had laproscopic surgery and a uterine biopsy on April 23. The results from that surgery were that I had abnormal cells (Not cancer yet thankfully)along with ovarian cysts, so I need to have a total hysterectomy and bilateral salpingo-oophorectomy. In addition, lymph nodes will be removed for biopsy as a precautionary procedure.

That surgery will take place tomorrow at 3:00 pm. I found out the Tuesday before Harry came to Denver so I told the Doctor he could do the surgery anytime, just not that weekend, as I had Lighthouse stuff to do smile I will spend 2 - 3 days in the hospital and then home for 6 weeks recovery. So I'll be off-line for a few days.

More Good News! The job offer I received today, the company is willing to hold the position for me for the 6 weeks! smile

All ya'll take it easy, see and remember a lighthouse for me, and I'll be back in touch hopefully early next week.

Hey ya'll. Doc said surgery went well, and let me go home Sunday afternoon. I tried to talk him into doing a little liposuction and a tummy tuck while he was at it, but he said only if I understood he was practicing laugh

Wasn't up to doing much yesterday. Feeling alot better today (Percocet helps), was able to go down stairs. My daughter is letting me use her laptop, as I'm not able to fully sit up to use my desktop.

I am supposed to hear back from the onocologist sometime this week with the results of all the biopsies, and I go back to have the staples removed on Friday.

Thank you all for your well wishes and prayers! You guys are the greatest! applaud

Glad to hear you are home and on the road to feeling better. I suppose it was more practical for the doc to use staples than duct tape.... the tape would be a real test of the percocet when they removed it.

We know that the results will come back OK from the oncologist!

Good to hear you are back home and OK (under the circumstances!) Hope you don't laugh too much! Smiling will have to do for a while! wink
At least pulling/hurting staples was my biggest problem for a week or so smile
We will continue the prayers and with the certain hope that the news from the oncologist is GOOD !!!

Had my staples removed on Friday, and Doc said all my biopsies came back negative! Many thanks to all of you for your thoughts and prayers.

And Dave, I think duct tape is only a "man" thing! My husband cut his leg once with a box cutter, I was all ready to take him to the emergency room for stitches, and he said "Why?" I looked and he had put some gauze over the cut and then duct taped it. Fortunately the wound did heal without any issues, just a scar and he didn't develop any blood poisoining.
