Dennis, are you or any of the others having a problem viewing portions of the screens? All my screenviews(pictures, menus, etc) seem to be cutoff on the bottom and the right side. There are no scroll bars in which to bring the missing portions into view, and one cannot move the view. It appears as though I have about 90% of what is present .

ANYBODY ELSE HAVING ANY DIFFICULTIES WITH THEIR ENCYCLOPEDIA??? Changing the system resolution doesn't help, it only makes the screenview smaller but not more inclusive. I'm trying to determine if the fault is with my particular CD or is it inherent with all of them.

Sent a note to Ken Trethewey on 4/3, but as of yet have not had any reply.

I have had no trouble with mine. You're not one of those Mac users, are you?

Nope, Art, I'm PC user with Windows that has no other problems with any opther program, so I'm leaning towards the CD I received being faulty, if no one else has any problems.

Here's replies (mine and Ken Trethewey's):

MINE:
It works AOK at 1024X768, misses a little at 800X600. I've decided to run at 800X600 otherwise everything else is way too small for us old folks to read, even with the large type setting. So, I guess its OK, but would have preferred to run at 640X480, but way too much 'lighthouse' is missing.

Dear George,
I'm sorry you are having problems viewing some of the material. It's hard for me to know exactly what your problem is without seeing it. All I can say is that the program works perfectly for a screen size of 1024x768 pixels. If you have 800x600 you will not see all of the photos. If you have any extra toolbars around the edges, they will interfere. It is possible that a very few photos may be cut off because I made mistakes in editing, but that would be like a dozen or so at most. I urge you to check carefully the screen settings on your computer if you still think this is a problem. I am very sonfident there is nothing wrong with the disc. Do let me know more precisely what the problem is and on what material. I will try to help more.
Best wishes
Ken

Hope this helps out any others who may be experiencing the same type problem.

im not sure if this is the same problem that u r having but something simalar happens to mine when it is opened in my browser but for some reason if i slide the window over to where i can see the dash (to put it in the toolbar whatever it is called) and the maximixe button, and the "x" then i click on the maximize button it actually makes it smaller to fit my screen...who knows??? I hope this helps! Let me know I am curious!! lol It took me a while to figure it out!!
