You may not have caught his hints, but our Cruise Director Art is checking into the Forums this week from Japan.
Greetings to Art in Japan. Any lighthouses on this trip, Art?

Arigato gozaimashita, John and Bob.
Not sure yet about lighthouses, but doubtful. We're pretty far inland and don't have much free time. I do know that they are called "todai" in nihongo (Japanese) and will be making the appropriate inquiries. If any "todai-ing" takes place, I'll have to buy a disposable camera. I didn't bring so much as a point-and-shoot with me.
Bob, I just read about Richter. Poor guy. He was just getting back into the zone after the acl injury to the other side a year ago. McLean has some big shoes to fill, but he almost beat the Rangers with Vancouver in '94, so I know he's capable. I hope that Sather/Lowe don't do anything rash in trading for another netminder. It's not like the Cup is a realistic expectation this year. It's not worth selling the future for the present, and especially not this season.
Konban wa,

NY Talk radio is having a field day with the Ranger's options, especially since there only (ONLY) 6 points out of playoffs.
I remember being at a BY signing two years back when a 10 year old asked BY if he knew that the TALLEST LH in the world was in Japan? Now, I've never found the answer to that question, Mr Phelps so if you except this assignment....
What the price of a steak these days in Japan? Watch out for the fugu! - have fun - Bob
