Is the pictures up and I am lost at finding them???? Just can't wait to see all the lighthouses.

Before I create a link at HarbourLights.com I'd like to ask contestants to review the pages and

1. Make sure all their entries are shown
2. That they are on the appropriate page
3. That the link from the thumbnail to the larger photo works and brings up the correct picture
4. I've identified the photo correctly on the individual page

If you find an error, please indicate which PAGE the error is on and which # photo is in error.

If your photo(s) are missing, let me know what the photos were of and how you submitted them.

I will be identifying the individual photographers after judging is complete.

Great job to all the members who submitted the photos. The Judges have their work cut out for them.

I think I agree that some one should start a photo forum so every one can compare notes on how to take great photos. I enjoyed Paul's lecture at the reunion and have tried to put some of his tips to work.

Superb layout and great photos in all of the categories. I know that I'm going to spend a considerable amount of time after I hit the send button looking at the photos more closely in all of the categories!

I wish I'd been able to see these sooner but went to the lake with the cameras this afternoon.... to shoot... what else, the lighthouse at South Haven!

For those wackos planning to come to Michigan this summer to photograph, be very glad you weren't there today! Temp in the low teens with 30 mph winds. Not sure what the wind chill was but trust me, it was VERY COLD!!!! Enough so that the spray that I got hit with from waves breaking was hitting me as frozen hail pellets rather than water!

Congratulations to Tim (Torchbearer) for coming up with the photography contest idea and to John for doing all the work getting it set up for everyone to enjoy. There are some really great pics there, and not too many duplicates. I know that many of us will spend a fair amount of time enjoying these pictures. As others have said, I sure don't envy the job the judges must do!

It is also nice to see that we have added several new members because of the contest. I hope that they become active participants in many of the forums offered within the Collector Forums. Welcome to all, and we look forward to seeing you here regularly.

Not much there to guess, Bob... when you click the thumbnail to get the big picture, the link appears in the address window in your browser. Terry noticed that last night.

I guess that means that if yours are not there they didn't make it?

Thanks so much for undertaking this contest, John. You always do such a great job. The realization of where I haven't been comes leaping out at me when I view all the entries. And, I also realize that I will depend on seeing other photographer's work of the winter in Michigan.......Judges will have a tough time with the final decisions they have to make......we'll all look forward to finding out who the winners are....

Oh come on, Nana, where's your spirit of adventure? Michigan winters are fun! That's why so many people from here vacation in Florida in the winter! I didn't enter any winter shots in the HL Photo Contest, but certainly have enough of them in my collection and files. Beautiful, but certainly have the capacity to be brutal as well.

John, many thanks for the huge effort. Every time I look at the pictures that were entered I see something new. The winter shots are great, but the evening and night shots give me something to look forward to in a couple of months. There are many here on the forum with an artistic eye which really shines in all the entries. I really don't see any losers in the whole batch.

So, when will the winners be announced?

Most info that I can give you came from John when I gabbed with him on AIM for a few minutes last night. Kim is working on the judging and HL's graphics designer will also be participating. Don't know when they'll finish and announce a decision, but that's the only update I can give anyone.
