This is Donna from the Beacons of the Bay Harbour Lights Collectors Club in the Chesapeake Bay area. Perhaps Jerry and I met you at the Reunion on Mackinac Island -- we had a Club table and enjoyed meeting many of you!
I have a special request for you! Jerry will be having a heart catheterization early Tuesday morning. Perhaps you could keep him in your prayers in the hope that all will go well during and after this procedure -- and he'll be out there climbing many lighthouses again soon. Thanks to all of you!
Keeping the flame in the Chesapeake Bay area, Donna

Donna our prayers will be there for you on Tuesday morning. I'm sure that Jerry will come out of this fine. I had it done last Spring and had two stents put in and was home the next day. Our prayers for you and Jerry.

Donna & Jerry, I will be thinking good thoughts and you will be in my prayers. This group here is great at prayers and they seem to work well. Hang in there.

John and I will send prayers for a successful and speedy recovery. We enjoyed spending time with you in Michigan and want to see you at more lighthousing events.

I pray for Jerry that the procedure will be successful. And also that you, Donna, will be able to handle the obvious stress associated with it.
May the Almighty Lord bless you both.

Thanks to all of you for your well wishes and your prayers.
Jerry is just fine. We were very surprised to find out from his cardiologist after the heart catheterization procedure was done that there were no blockages. The doctor said that the tests done in December had given a "false positive" result. A nurse told us that there are about 400 causes of chest pain and we've eliminated number one on the list -- the big number one! So now we'll have to find out the cause of his chest pains since late October.
Thank you all once again!
Donna

Good news, Donna. Glad that Jerry's test turned out well, and hope that you quickly find out what is causing his chest pains.

Donna, I'm glad to hear that Jerry's tests came out good. FYI, in 1991 my wife had to rush me to the hospital with both of us thinking I was having a heart attack. In the ER the doctoes did an EKG etc. and gave me some nitro stating that I was in fact having one. They called in a cardio specialist and he could not find anything except that he EKG was showing a heart attack. After my admittance to the hosp. they transfered me to Columbia Presbyterian Hospital in NYC for more tests. After a battery of test, and to make a long story short I had no heart attack. It was a digestive problem which I later found out is GERD or Reflux Disease. I have been on medication since and no more false heart attack pains. A follow up with the cardio specialist also showed that I have a weird ekg. It shows that I could be having a heart attack when in fact I'm not. That didn't explain the pains though like the gastrointerologist did. I do not know if this will help but I know it won't hurt. Good Luck and God Bless you both.
