On this date in 1979 I asked for Mariann's hand in marriage. I did this as the sun was rising over Sandy Hook where we went to take some sunrise photos with the camera (the Cannon AE-1 that I still use today) that she had purchased a few months earlier for my birthday.
Lucky me, she said "yes". The fool!

Congrats, Art & Mariann! I'm happy to see both the marriage and camera is still working. I bought a Canon A-1 in 1980 and it stills works great, and I've never had a bit of trouble with it. Lorna & I will be celebrating 31 years of marriage this month. She still works great and I haven't had a bit of trouble with her either...lol !  Bob
