As of this date, I'm extremely happy to announce that I finally secured the last Harbour Lights Limited Edition I needed to complete my collection. Although I don't have a CH-1, I do have a CH-2. I do not have a Coquille limited edition but then again I probably will never pay the price for that piece. I now have a complete collection of all the LEs that HL has made. (Note: I'm still waiting for a few of the newest ones but they will be automatically added to the collection. Keep in mind I'm not counting variations of LE models although I have some.)

Therefore, I'm out of the woods of searching out the rare higher price HLs and can now just enjoy the less expensive "maintenance" by purchasing the new HLs as they are released. What a rush!

(I'll give him six months before he changes his mind on Coquille)

Congratulations, Robert!

LOL Art... I think the urge will be too great for Bob. Maybe he's looking around the house to see what he can sell inorder to procure Coquille.

Congrats Bob! Now, regarding that CH2...

Glad you finally found that Portland Head Bob. Just 2 years from your decision at the reunion to the time that you finished the collection. Now, just to get you thinking, here's an LE Coquille on e-bay, as of now no bids at $100.00. http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=489251936

Pretty good their JJ... do you think Bob will go for it? I wonder how much the reserve is? Okay Bob... we have got to at least see some form of a bid from you on this one! LOL

I admit I just took a peek at it. Right now it's $555 (reserve not met). I'm sure the seller has a hefty reserve on the piece. What will be most interesting is to see at what price the "(reserve met)" replaces the "(reserve not met)".

Now that the holiday season is fast approaching, my thoughts will have to be with what I will be giving, not receiving.
Who knows, maybe a Coquille River will be available at the HL Reunion in Baltimore for the Charity Auction. They had some super gifts at the last one in Providence.

Just think, Bob - if you'd saved all the money you spent (other words come to mind) on GLOWs - you could bid on that Coquille. Then, five years from now while you're in maintenance mode - you could acquire those GLOWs cause they'll still be there at the same price! LOL!

Collecting GLOWs is less fun than fishing at a Bass Farm where your catch is guaranteed.

Best Rgds,

Maybe I should sell some of my "retired Glows" and put those funds aside for the Coquille LE. Then maybe I could try the "Coquille Car Wash" along with a "Coquille Cake Sale a.k.a. Buddy Bob's Baking Bonanza". Profits from those two gala events would surely generate enough money to cover shipping and insurance.

Is there anyone out there that would take Glows in on trade for a Coquille LE? Tim, I'll give you first refusal...do you feel lucky? ( LOL )

Congratulations Bob!
It takes alot of work and MONEY to complete the collection, especially when quite a few of us start late. I hope you enjoyed the journey. I still have a few to gather up before my quest is done.

That's good news for you Bob, and bad news for me! I kind of got a kick out of the fact that I had Portland Head and SE Block Island and a more experienced collector didn't?
Congrats Bob, maybe you'll win a Coquille or better yet maybe I'll win a Coquille! LOL

Hi Bob...
I have been where you're now at for the past couple of years. I can't quite justify paying the price for a LE Coquille River. I decided the GLOW would have to do. I figure I can buy 1-2 years worth of new releases for the price I would have to pay for a LE Coquille.

I feel good now that I am completely caught up through 2000 with my purchase last week of Sister Island and the 5th order lens.
