My husband's father Herman, (my father-in-law Herman,) a retired Michigan State Trooper, has passed away as of early this morning. He suffered from Parkinson's and Alzheimer's, and the last three weeks, his health has declined rapidly. Herman C.(my husband) and I feel very fortunate to have been with him during his last few hours at his bedside. He had turned 85 on June 3, 2001. I had the honor of being his daughter-in-law for 22 years. He will be missed, but we know that he is not suffering anymore and in a better place. He has been rejoined with his wife of 50 years, which my mother-in-law passed away three years ago, due to a stroke.

Please remember him and his family in your prayers, and show your family everyday the love that you feel for them!

Amen.

Herman C. and Mary (bright eyes)

Of all the illnesses I see, Alzheimer's is by far the most horrible and tragic. It steals from the afflicted the key features that make us human...mind, identity and memories.

My prayers of sympathy to your family and my prayers of hope to researchers searching for some understanding about this terrible disease.

Amen. I have an older brother going through the Alzheimer's "valley of the shadow" now, so I can sympathize very very much. I will add you into my prayer list tomorrow AM.
GOd Bless!

My deepest condolences, Herman & Mary. It's tough to lose a loved one at any age. It sounds like Dad did well to live till 85. My Dad, age 84, has been blessed with good health. Our family feels so fortunate to have him around.

From one Trooper to another...Rest in peace, brother.

Please accept my deepest condolences as well Mary and Herman. It's been a few years for me, but losing a dad is a very big loss. May God bless you during this trying time.

So sorry to hear of your loss Mary and Herm. Losing your Dad is tough but I am sure you have many fine memories of better times spent with him. Before too long these will override those painful times of the recent past.

Mary and Herman,
Our deepest condolences to you and your family. The loss of a loved one, especially a parent, is never easy. Both of Roy's parents are gone now. Roy's mom passed away two years ago. The wonderful memories of our time spent with her help us through the tough times. She will always be in our hearts and our minds. We hope that your fond and happy memories help you through this time. May God bless you and keep you. You will be in our prayers.

Carolyn & Roy

Herm and I would like to say "THANK YOU" for all of your thoughts and prayers during this very sad time for our families.

Dad is with Mom again, and there is no more pain and suffering.

We arrived home from making funeral plans, and a beautiful flower arrangement was delivered from our family of "WACKOS". It helped to lift our spirits! Thank you!

From our hearts, to yours, thank you again!

Mary and Herm
