My niece Vivien's new show had it's debut last night on the WB. She plays Delia Brown on the Treat Williams' vehicle. The show is on right after 7th Heaven and had some bigtime sponsors (was 70 minutes because of the commercials) so it's off to a good start. Check it out, especially if you're a Neisen family (LOL). WB is a new channel for me, only had it since the beginning of September. The first show I have watched on WB was Everwood last night. I thought it was good! Which character was Delia?

Well I don't get that channel Bob but if I did and that program is a sitcom I wouldn't watch it anyway as I never watch any of them. But good luck to Vivien!

I wouldn't say it is a sitcom. It is more of a drama. I thought it was very touching and it did bring a tear or two to my eyes!
Oh Delia is the 9 year old! She was good!

I don't watch prime time television as a rule, Bob, but I will try and watch Everwood just to see your niece... I know.... I work in television, but that's in News... I watch a lot of Sports, Movies, News and that's about it.

Aw shucks Bob, guess that did sound pretty bad! But I did say good luck. She's a lovely girl and now that I know it's not a sitcom I'd give it a look but don't get that channel. My neighbors get 200+ channels so they probably get it but they go to bed when it gets dark which is now around 7:30!

Bob, I have watched this a couple of times. I must say it's really nice to see a show that gives a good message to children as well as adults. Vivian is doing a fine job also. Glad the show was picked up. Ruthie

Bob, I haven't seen the show yet (don't have much time to watch TV), but you said to vote for the show so I did. Plus, given't the other two choices, it really wasn't a hard pick. I hope your lovely niece wins.

The show didn't win but Vivien got interviewed by Joan Rivers on the Red Carpet (on E!) who asked her "Does your father beat your mother?" among other off the wall questions?

I love watching "Everwood"! It is one of my favorite shows on TV which, I am afraid, means that it's doomed. Every time I really love a show, they take it off the air. I'm really sorry but I do enjoy the show alot and look forward to seeing it every week. Eskilady

So far so good Eskilady, Everwood's broken all 7th Heavens viewer records for a first year show and has even had higher rating some nights. It's booked for a full year, sponsors love it, being picked for 1 of 3 new dramatic shows, etc. All this vs. 'Raymond'. Looks good at least for a few years.

Yes, Everwood was great last night and I do really enjoy it. I wish that they would have shown more of the musical tho. I sometime feel sorry for Ephram, he seems to have it so hard.

Bob!! You have to talk to your niece - you have to find out - does Colin live????? The look on Treat William's face last night in the season's conclusion goesn't bode well for Colin's future and I just can't wait till September to find out. Talk to your niece - find out!! Does Colin live???? You know the old saying "curiosity killed the cat and satisfaction brought him back". I NEED TO KNOW!! Thanks Eskilady

Well, Eskilady as 10 year old Vivein tells it. "I signed a confidentiality agreement!" I saw a writeup of this show before it aired and it spoke of Ephram finding out why they were in Everwood, and accepting it as home. It then said "just in time for the town to turn against the Brown family." I also saw a poster for next season a few weeks ago on the web that I'm sure didn't have Colin on it. Now, I can't find either one today so you never know? I would expect that fan reaction might play some result in the cliffhanger. Filming starts again in July, so... Bob

Oh, no, it doesn't sound good! If the town turns against the Brown family, Colin must not have made it through surgery. I always thought that Amy should be with Ephram anyway but it is too bad that Colin died. And since Vivien won't tell, guess I will have to wait until next season to actually find out, won't I? Thanks for asking her for me tho. What's it like to be related to a TV star? Eskilady

I have three other nieces how are also on the entertainment road. Jen who is a morning radio person waiting to be discovered. Alyssa is a NY Spokesperson for Special Olympics and Down Syndrome. Katie is appearing in theater in the Jacksonville area.
As for how it is? Besides bursting with pride. I'm also proud that they're all regular young people who have not let their status effect their heads.

Bob, Just wanted to let you know that I, too, have been watching Everwood ever since you mentioned it on the forum. It is a decent show worth watching. (I'm sick of these other shows that depict husbands as idiots and wives as screaming complainers.) Also, I am wondering if Colin survived or not. Guess we'll have to wait til the new season begins. You can be proud of your young celebrities. JoanieO

Talked to Vivein's father last night, and asked him the question. He laughed and said even the Mike Erwin who plays Colin doesn't know yet. So I guess it may be up to fan reaction. There's a feedback dialog at the Everwood website if you want to get your 2 cents in. Thanks to all who have watched. Bob ps Here's some inside info (don't tell ) - Mike Erwin's under contract to WB so he could be back on Everwood or another WB show

I went to the Everwood website and voted for what I think should happen (Colin survived the surgery and all was well) but most people seem to feel that he survives the surgery but there were problems and he won't be the same. We will see how it goes when the new season comes in September.

I'm happy for your support an enthusiasm Eskilady but you missed last weeks episode. The whole town blamed Dr Brown for killing Colin. Delia (Vivien) had a big piece of the episode unlike last night. Some real meaty episodes are coming up for Vivien. The show had to get special permission for the number of hours she can work. (Child labor laws.) Vivien's 3 sibblings were in the pool of the first episode but I didn't see them. They'll be in the front row of a church scene in a future episode. Bob

You're kidding me!! I missed the actual premier show!! Doesn't it figure. Well, I will catch it in the reruns. I thought that it was strange that no one really mentioned Collin at all, except in passing. Now I know why - what a dolt I am. Thanks for catching me up. Eskilady

Here's a new reason to watch Everwood! They're building a lighthouse in the mountains of Colorado. This week's show which aired Monday at 9pm, will be reshown at 6pm on Sunday. This is great news for all you landlocked lighthouse lovers. hmmmmmmmmm! Think I have a good connection? Unkin' Bob

Is Everwood actually taped in CO? I just love the opening scenes when they show the landscape and scenery around Everwood! It is beautiful!! How I would love to visit there and actually see the scenery myself. Even tho there are no lighthouses there, they have mountains instead.

Hi Eskilady, Everwood is filmed in Salt Lake City. The pilot was done in Vancouver. I'm not sure if the opening (shots)credits are from which location but the regular show is done on location in and around Salt Lake, Utah. - Park City, Sundance, etc. My family tells me a 10 minute drive from where they live in Sandy in any direction will bring you to the edge of that part of heaven! I'm sure Lorie and John can expand on that? - Bob

Bob is correct. Salt Lake City has beautiful mountain scenery very close to the city. I live about 10 miles from 4 ski resorts; Snowbird, Alta, Brighton, and Solitude. Park City is about 30 minutes away. John is from upstate New York. All of his family still lives there. They were surprised when they saw our wedding pictures to see flowers and greenery. I think so many people associate Utah with the National Parks that are in southern Utah and assume all of Utah is desert like. Northern Utah has the beautiful Wasatch mountains. Remember the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake?
