Someone coughed up the dough to rent the Nantucket Lightship and put a rather large "Kerry/Edwards" sign on the port bow area of the boat. The lightship is strategically anchored in the background at the Charlestown Navy Yard in Boston, where Kerry is speaking today.

If you are watching the DNC and related matters on national news, you can't help but see the Nantucket Lightship in the background. I wonder what that cost the Democrats for that?

I guess they figure it fits right in with Kerry- having that house on Nantucket. Sometimes it's all in how you sell the product.

I guess you're having a busy week this week.

I'll be driving up to Springfield tomorrow for a Poco concert and then we'll be driving over to East Falmouth for another show at the Barnstable County Fair.

We'll be staying in Middleboro because all the other places closer cost too much and I'll be dropping someone off in Plymouth on Saturday morning.

No Lighthouses scheduled on this trip, though.

Right now (about 2:50pm Eastern), CNN has a picture of Kerry sailing into Boston. I'm pretty sure the lightship is in the background of the photo.

Yes, I didn't see it but CBS radio announced he sailed in on the Lightship Nantucket. :rolleyes:

On the lighter side (lol), the NY papers had a quote from a NYer who said, "Can any NYer vote for a Red Sox Fan to run the Country."

Don't do it, it can only cause problems.
