From a friend of mine at church - certainly on the up-and-up.
Dear Friends and Family,
I hope you are receiving our e-mails concerning our reaching out to Lucille Bridges, mother of Ruby Bridges who Norman Rockwell painted and featured on the Saturday Evening Post cover in 1960. Lucille and family are from New Orleans, but living in Houston at the moment due to the devastation of hurricane Katrina.
They have lost everything so we have sent 835 pounds of clothing and items to them in Houston. Our next goal is to see if we can provide a car for Lucille since hers is under water.
HELP!!!!!!!!
It is Networking Time
What we are asking for is an introduction to a company or individual. We will make the request, but it is much easier to go in on a referral.
-Do you know of anyone who might be able to provide a car?
-Anyone who knows of a car sitting in an elderly persons garage because they no longer can drive?
-Anyone who might have a connection with a group of generous automobile dealers?
Lucille is in Houston and we will see that the car is driven to Houston.
There are all kinds of possibilities if we work together. You know what it must be like not to have transportation and wanting to find employment. Lucille is a very industrious human being who wants to clean homes or take care of the elderly. This is what she has done most of her life and at 71 years old she still wants to work.

Thank you taking time to read this.
