I recently purchased an Admirality (Misspelled) piece wanted to know if this pice should have a lightening rod? The pice does not and also the Cert. is missing. What effect would the missing rod, if one was originally included and the missing cert. have on the value - Thanks

Sometimes rods disappeared (fell out of the drilled hole) and in a few of those, the piece may have been "repaired" by filling in the hole. Look carefully for evidence of a hole. If there's a hole, Harbour Lights will send you a rod.

We believe all Admiralty Heads (however spelled) made in California (250 pieces) or Canada should have a rod. When production was shifted to Malaysia, the rods were phased out - some Malaysian ones had rods, others did not.

As for certificates, Harbour Lights has certificates. Just call and ask for a replacement. Your piece should have no lower value because it is missing a certificate when these are available for the asking.

Call Customer Service 800-365-1219.
