I got this note by email late today from Desiree Wolf of Harbour Lights...

Quote:
Mr. Younger has had some health issues this past week and the doctor has advised against any travel. It is to be determined at this time if a minor stroke has occurred. We will keep you posted but all indications are that he is fine and will recover fully. Kim says, “If orneriness is any indication, he is feeling GREAT!”

In regards to his in-store events this coming weekend, since he cannot attend, local area reps will be on hand. Also, additional replacement events will be scheduled at these same locations.

Bill said his problem was [that] this was the first time he was in town [El Cajon] and decided not to go into the office over the weekend! His system did not know how to react to a real DAY OFF!

I'm sure we all feel the same - take the time off, Bill. Listen to the doctors and take care of yourself.

Bill,

I am so sorry to hear that you are not well. I was looking forward to seeing you again in Jacksonville on the 25th. But your health is much more important than a signature, so please take it easy, rest and recuperate. And we will see you again on another day!

Bill, so sorry to hear you are sick. Although we were looking forward to seeing you in Texas this weekend, your health is much more important. Listen to your doctors and take it easy for a spell.

Bill,

Sorry to hear you are not feeling quite right. I can personally attest to the fact that it's important to listen to what your doctors tell you to do.

I know it goes against your nature, but try and take it easy and relax for a bit. You'll feel better more quickly if you do.

Bill just called me to tell everyone that he is doing just fine! He said he wanted me to hear his voice so I could tell that he was ok...

He confirmed that he did have a slight stroke but the symptoms are going away and he should recover completely. This probably was a blessing in disguise in that he now is on medication that would prevent a future occurance. His spirits are excellent and his outlook positive as always.

Bill also said that any events that he misses while he recovers will be rescheduled a little later..

Great news, Paul! I'm very glad to hear that it was discovered early and that medication should take care of the problem.

Bill take care and see you when you are next in Texas. I hope Nancy is staying at home and using some of her old nursing skills to help on your road to recovery. That's one way to explain your fast recovery so do what she says then what the doctor says.

Heal well

Bill,

Take care of yourself, or maybe I should say, rest and let everyone take care of you! It certainly was a blessing you were at home at the time. Listen to the doctor's advise and rest, relax, rest, relax!

God bless you and keep you and your family.

Know that your messages are reaching Bill...

Zina (who's now back) reports that they print them out and send them home to Bill periodically.

Keep 'em coming. I'll look for an update from HL MOnday on Bill's health status.

By the way - those weekend events that Bill was going to be at are covered by Reps AND they WILL have Gold In-Store Event items to give away. If you're near one of those places, it could be a great opportunity to win.

Hi Bill....Hunt and I are praying for you to Get Well Soon. We both know you will be up and taking care of business soon. While we here in Louisville were looking forward to your visit in November we will understand if that should need to be rescheduled. The most important thing is for you to be totally recovered.

I enjoyed visiting with Nancy at the in-store event in Gaithersburg, Maryland Saturday afternoon the 11th - and while I didn't know at the time of your "health scare" - I figure she wouldn't have left your side if there was any major problem! Ask her to see the photos of me and the "old Nancy" from 200-2001 that I gave her that day ....like fine wines, we're not getting older, we're getting better! You, too!

Thanks Lil Red!

Hey Bill -- greetings from the Outer Banks. The OBLHS is having a dinner Saturday night to mark 300 years of a lighthouse shining it's beam across the 'Graveyard of the Atlantic'.

Oops. Guess I shouldn't have used that term here!

But you know we'll all be 'beaming' best wishes out your way. Rest, recuperate, take it easy. And only then will the Doc and Nancy let you get back on that 'treadmill' they call Harbour Lights!

Get well soon...let's see if I can make up a corny greeting card phrase...

Beacuse you are not all well,

There have been many fears at Y&A to quell

So won't you please get better soon,

Maybe before the Beaver Moon?

BTW...the Beaver Moon is Nov. 8, I think.

Sorry to hear of your indisposition. We are a little late in conveying our wishes for a speedy recovery and return to normal as we just found this thread today and we both also have each just gotten out of the hospital ourselves. So we all need to listen to our doctor's orders. After all they do know what is best.

Again best wishes
