When he showed up in Portsmouth Friday afternoon, there were some people wondering who this guy was.

Turned out it was our buddy Chesapeake Bryan - after more than a year of working on diet and exercise!

Only problem Bryan reports is that he gets carded a lot these days (he's 29, looks like 19!)
Maybe it's the way he's wearing his hat now.

I wondered how someone so young was able to get so many patches on the vest he wore early in the day on Saturday. I found 20 of his 100 pounds since giving up cigarettes in December, 2004 so he should not worry that they're not being put to good use somewhere else. . . .
