Now that the Speech season is finally over, we would like to congratulate Stephen on a GREAT Speech season. Stephen was one of the team members selected, by the coaches, to go to Sectionals. Selection is based on their season attitude and success. Stephen came out on top qualifying him for STATE competition. He was one of only two kids on the team to qualify for State. Stephen in Broadcasting (Radio) and a girl, Cassie, in Discussion. So on they went to a weekend in Brady territory (Indianapolis). Unfortunately Cassie lost out after her first three rounds. Not a bad end to her season or her Senior year. Stephen on the other hand finished in the top 21 making him a State Semi-Finalist. Unfortunately he didn't make the top seven to go to finals, but not bad for a first year qualifier. At the awards banquet Stephen was awarded his letter, so come the reunion in October he may be sporting his new Letter Mens Jacket. He also received the award for Most Valuable Speaker. So we would like to congratulate Stephen on his accomplishments for the 2000-2001 Speech Season.

WHEW! This has been a BUSY WEEK!

Thanks to everyone for the congrats, I really appreciate it. It was a fun speech season, doing 3 different events through it (2 being new), I made lots of new friends, and had another great seaon with the old ones.
