If you are wondering why I chose the Personal Time Forum for this post, it is because this is very personal for me..

John Wisnewski is closing his Bayside Treasures store. John was my good friend long before he became my Harbour Lights dealer and he will be my good friend long after his store closes for good.. John and I met on the Internet at the old AOL chat room back in 1996. We have IM'd a lot of mornings with our first cup of coffee before we each head to work. If you never made it to John's store if was your loss as he has always had quality products there. I just finished talking to John about his future and he said not to worry he already has a job lined up for the immediate future.

I told my wife Sue that she should go to John's website to do a little future gift shopping since John needs to deplete his inventory of fine Nautical items..

It's always hard when people move on to other things and we sort of miss that little place they held (or big place) in our lives.

One of the most fun signing events we attended was at Bayside Treasures. That was our "indoor picnic" with Bill on Veteran's Day about 2½ years ago. It was a wonderful gathering of Wacko's from all over. Bayside Treasures is a neat store, with really nice products. Hope all turns out for the best for John and his staff.

Thanks for heads-up Paul. I ordered 3 lighthouses. Another I wanted evedently sold out between this afternoon when I checked from work and this evening when I got home to check the finances. I guess and hope he will be successful with this sale. and again, thanks Paul.

Thanks for the info. We ordered three pieces. Jupiter Inlet which we just visited a few weeks ago, Currituck which we will be visiting in May, and Key West Guardian of the Night because we were there a few weeks ago.

Paul, I have bought from them before at your recommendation and they were great. I too have purchased two LE's and one LLOM today. I hate to hear of these wonderful gift shops closing.

I remember that "indoor picnic" Dave. That was a really good time and Paul took some good pictures as usual. We are planning to go to Bayside Treasures today for some shopping and to wish John the beat of luck in the future and say good-bye. I sure will miss his yearly event "parties" as he always put on a great event.

I received some pieces that I ordered from John yesterday, and they were packed very well, adding to my suppy of peanuts. As usual, everything that John does is first rate and we will miss him when he is gone.
