My son, Patrick successfully finished his Eagle Project (Boy Scouts) last Saturday. This week he finished getting signatures and getting badgework paperwork in to the council. Congratualations on a job well done!

Welcome to the small circle of those Scouts who reach the top, Patrick. Earning the Eagle Rank takes a lot of work and dedication. Along the way you received help from many adults from scout leaders to those who volunteered to guide you through the different merit badges. But most of all, you know it took the dedication of Mom to see you through and provide support when the going got rough. Give her an extra hug when she pins that badge on you.

I received my Eagle badge in 1960, the 50th Anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts in America. That same year I went to the National Jamboree in Colorado Springs and Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico. It was sure a busy year.

Patrick, it sounds like you have been a very busy young man. Congratulations to you and to your mother Suzanne, who clearly has done some good work raising you.

Congratulations Patrick on finishing your Eagle Scout project!!!!! As a mother of an Eagle Scout I know how hard it is to become one.

Way to go Patrick! I too have a son that is an Eagle Scout. I know how much work it is to receive it. I was proud to get my mother's pin feeling that I had worked hard along side my son (especially the Eagle project).

Even though it was 37 years ago I still remember the effort that went into and the satisfaction that came out of the entire Eagle scout process. You can be very proud, Suzanne, of Patrick's accomplishment. I'm sure the upcoming ceremony will remain as one of your fondest memories. By the way, resumes with "Eagle Scout" listed at the bottom almost always guarantee a closer review.

CONGRATULATIONS Patrick on a well-deserved, hard-earned accomplishment. Our son, Ryan, is also an Eagle and he and his dad went to Philmont about 8 years ago.
