No; not a free cell phone.
It is the computer game that I beleive comes with windows.

I challenged my 12-year-old son to find me any game on “free cell" that he cannot win and I will win it for him. Most of the time on the first try, but no more than four tries. When I win the game I will send you the Jpeg of the kings on the right with the game number on it proving I won it.
I could probably even post it on the forum.

Any challengers? Just post me the free cell number that you think I can't beat

Daniel, I'm a FreeCell fan too. I've played about 5000 games and have only lost twice. I didn't take note of the game numbers, so if I come across another loss, I'll pass the game number on to you.

I think the challenge can be for us to find the Free-cell game number that we feel is hard to beat. And then see who all can win it. pillowfight

I've played Free Cell now and then. I seem to have about a 50% success rate of completing the game. It does take some thought. Once you get the hang of it, it gets a lot easier to accomplish the mission. Everything comes back to how much time you are willing to spend on solving the game.

My dad's been playing Free-Cell since way back in the early days of Windows 95. He's also been big on Spider Solitare since that came out with Windows ME.

I'd bet that in the past 12 years, he's played about 50% of the 32,000 Free-Cell games.

At least one game a day (average), it would take you almost 88 years to complete every came.

According to Wikipedia, these are very difficult games:

169, 178, 258, 454, 617, 718, 1689, 1941, 2021, 2350, 2577, 2607, 2670, 2772, 3285, 3342, 3349, 3685, 3772, 3788, 3801, 3973, 4257, 4368, 4540, 4591, 4714, 4946, 5179, 5374, 5453, 5482, 5490, 5548, 5557, 6343, 6673, 6745, 6751, 6768, 7107, 7160, 7600, 7700, 8005, 8323, 8534, 8591, 8652, 8678, 8749, 8820, 9250, 9385, 9538, 9617, 9700, 10589, 11281, 11386, 11409, 11430, 11677, 11854, 12211, 12313, 13015, 14051, 14188, 14676, 14795, 14879, 14965, 14977, 15023, 15099, 15130, 15133, 15164, 15227, 15238, 15710, 15746, 15905, 15939, 16191, 16575, 16576, 17277, 17524, 17764, 17768, 18623, 18992, 19410, 19484, 19633, 19763, 19861, 20055, 20251, 20589, 20715, 20912, 21051, 21185, 21278, 21785, 21896, 21899, 22332, 24063, 24457, 24549, 24735, 25123, 25155, 25450, 25599, 25602, 25790, 25856, 25995, 26093, 26183, 26197, 26369, 26421, 26576, 26693, 26694, 26710, 27188, 29001, 29154, 29198, 29345, 29704, 30000, 30108, 30394, 30615, 30712, 30801, 31044, 31266, 31465, 31601, 31647, 31729, 31918, 31945.

And 11982 is supposed to be the hardest of all.

Get goin' Daniel. laugh

After that, you can try the 8 unbeatable ones in the most recent FreeCell version (not sure if that's the XP or Vista one): No. 11,982, No. 146,692, No. 186,216, No. 455,889, No. 495,505, No. 512,118, No. 517,776, and No. 781,948.

Thanks Greg
I will start when I get home.
I have xp.
Probally not as good as your Dad.
Only been at it since 2000, but I play 10 to twenty games a day. Did take a year out for playing hearts. Love that game also.

Is there some otherway of proofing that you won a game instead of printing a jpeg of it?
Is there some kind of nationals for this game?

DANIEL,

Maybe not, but I hear that Free-Cell will be an event in the next Olympics. Except you have to compete dressed exactly like the original Greek participants.

Greg, Thanks for the list of hard ones. I've also been playing since Windows95 came out. The 6 digit game numbers must be for the Vista version, as I'm using XP currently and they only go up to 32???.

Yes they do have tournaments.
They also have a free cell game that looks like a spread sheet so that you can play at work.
