Does anyone have an educated guess as to what the next Anchor Bay release will be? Will it be a "lightship"? Will it be another US Coast Guard Vessel? Will it be a historic vessel from the past?

Inquiring minds on the east coast, where it's a simply divine day with lots of sun and warm temperatures, would like to know.

I'm hoping for either a 180' Bouy Tender, 327' High Endurance Cutter or Wind Class Ice Breaker.

Rich cool

I'd love to see them do the ice breaking Cutter Mackinaw. There's a new one being build now to replace the current Mackinaw, so I'd like to see the current one done.

The topic of Mackinac resurfaces from time to time. As I recall, there are quite a few of us who agree with you Mike.

I would like to see a Lewis Boat made in honor of Douglas Munro, Medal of Honor Winner, USCG. I would also like to see an additional contribution made to the upkeep of his Memorial if such craft is made.

The craft could be on the beach rescuing Marines, celebrating his sacrifice!

I like your idea Sean! I also wouldn't mind seeing a 378' WHEC, 210' WMEC, or a 180' WLB, considering I served on all three classes. I'm really not sure how the general public would like the 180'ocean going buoy tender though.

Well Sean, you piqued my curiosity. For those interested, here's the story Sean is referring to: http://www.uscg.mil/hq/g-cp/history/Munro.html

But Sean, what is a Lewis Boat? My researches failed to discover this fact.

That's okay Sean. That Higgins boat did have two air cooled .30 Lewis machine guns onboard her.

Higgins Boat

Would be an interesting addition to the AB line, a fitting tribute to a MOH winner.
