Another Flag Error!!!! Received my Seul Choix today and guess what? I've got Flag #111 out of 12,500.

Someone got carried away.

So Bob, we know you're photographically challenged, but can you take another look at the flag and tell us if maybe you misread the "slash" as a "1" in front of the 2,500?

Is there any way that I can respond to everyone but you? I’ll check again with a magnifying glass. But if it’s a slash ( / ), it seems to be straight up and down ( | ).

Maybe others could post a picture of theirs so we can get an idea of what the number layout looks like.

Thanks for posting the pictures, Sandy. Easy to see how it would not be difficult to read either one as 12,500. Perhaps the correct solution is to insure that the ' / ' is a well defined one, almost exagerated, and that it goes higher and lower than the edition size. If this were done there should be no potential to mis-read it.

The images show the flag much larger than real life and it isn't difficult to read it wrong. Shrink it down to life size and it would be even more difficult.

Both look like 12500 to me. The "/" needs to be slanted much more then it is, and more space is needed between it and the "2".

Thanks for posting the pics of the flag#'s, Sandy! You can see why the "/" could be misread as a "1". I haven't received my Seul Choix as of yet so I couldn't comment until I saw your pics.

When the factory fixes the error on the Gibbs Hill, is it just going to look like the Seul Choix flag, where without a magnifying glass we can not tell if it is /2500 or |2500? I think when they fix the flag they need to really make it prominent.

The more I think about it, the more I like Sandy's concept of going back to the old way of marking Flag Numbers.
