Am I missing something here?
If we can not pick the lighthouse we want, but we are to pay for the current price of the lighthouse, how do we know what the current value of the lighthouse is when we don’t know what the lighthouse is?

The order form has not been included on the web posting, but was a part of the Musings. You have to (1) pay by credit card, so the final price is not as critical as if you were using a check (2) you may choose to accept any piece or max it at an $85 piece. Your choice.

As was discussed earlier, there is no practical way for HL to mine thru the pallets to find the specific model you may want. Not practical in any sense of the word. Collectors have had the opportunity to buy these pieces previously and the response has been, I believe, less than overwhelming. In those offers you could ask for a specific item. That opportunity appears to have passed.

It is my belief that this is a last pass effort to allow collectors to obtain a single digit piece. Eating up space in a warehouse has to be expensive, as is the manpower to offer odds and ends to collectors. Selling these pieces to a collector now has to be a money losing operation. Wouldn't surprise me if the next stop for these pieces was under a steam roller . . . .

Dave, Daniel's question was about the "current price". I'm a bit confused as well. Does it differ from it's original selling price?

Don't believe HL changed MSRP anywhere along the line. Whatever the item sold for when it was current is my understanding.

So if I have it correct. I fill out the order form and give it to my HL dealer to fax?

I hope they will raffle them before that! Raffle ticket at a reasonable price to pay for admin, plus postage ... I wish I lived nearer ... I would store a few pallets for them whistling

I guess I just contact my dealer and they ask HL for my pieces.... is that right????

The order form was at the end of the special Musings mailing. Very grayed out and kind of hard to see. Have not tried to print it out, but presume that it would print out essentially full size. Your dealer does have to add information about their store before the form is faxed in to HL. So, to answer Stan's earlier question: yes, I would believe your dealer needs to fax it in to HL. They do provide a toll free fax number of the form so it won't cost your dealer. Since the form will have credit card info on it you should not send it by email.
