Can anyone give me a background on this series. I've read, from other CF entries that they're not as detailed, but this may be due to material that is used. Sounds like these look more like the earlier edition lights from the old days.
Anyway, the information I'd like to know is: How many sets will be produced? Will the sets have the same flag #'s? Is it true that this series will only be sold in the UK, thus making the set more valuable in the US?
I just received an e-mail from Mark at All Things Nautical and he stated that this series may be scarcer than the Pharos series. Is this true? Can anyone give answers to the above questions?
Thanks...Dave
PS...Mark also informed me that he has completly exhausted his suppley for the Pharos and it doesn't appear that he'll be able to get anymore, although they're still listed on the World of Shopping site.
UPDATE: I e-mailed HL this morning and received this reply...
"Hi David,
Thank you for taking the time to write. I'm sorry - we don't actually have much information on the British Isles collection because they are produced independently from our Harbour Lights lighthouses. I'm going to refer you to contact the shops in England to ask them because we don't even have photos of these pieces."
My question was in regards to edition size. Am I to believe that HL doesn't have any input on the edition size, quality of product, etc.?

Sorry, Dave, I can't help you with this one. I commend anyone who goes through the effort of chasing those little beauties down on the other side of the pond. My collecting efforts have all been directed towards the HL's released in this country. Like many collectors, I'm running out of room to display and store my HL's, and my AB's. I've already put one addition on the house and I don't think the local building inspector and the zoning board of appeals want to see me come back for another. Bob

Bob, I thought you and Lorna were feeling lucky? Go major league, and buy a lottery ticket. I'll be a partner if you'll share your luck! lol
