I saw this one yesterday. At first, I thought it was a Little Light of Mine. I can't believe the size of this piece, especially for $45.

This model speaks volumes for getting the LE and avoiding the GLOW or at least getting the LLOM. I'll be passing on this one.

I have to agree with you, Joanne. Although the piece is very well done, the size is a little disappointing. The West Quoddy LE is a great piece! I had hoped the GLOW was going to be a little closer to the LE size.

It is too bad it's as small as it is because it is a very nice piece. I mean small. I'd have easily spent $20 more for it to be larger than it is. I guess this will feed the fire for the "ban the GLOW" crowd.

I also agree with Joanne. I'm not a big fan of Glows but was really looking forward to West Quoddy. The detail is fine for the small size of this addition but it reminded me of a Little Light of Mine. For such a beautiful light, I am very disappointed in this piece. I'm a real sucker for red but I also passed on this one.

I actually like the size and the price of it and I would've bought one if only it were a LE, as it reminds me of the way HL used to make their LE's...nice and simple with no fancy (and, IMO, not always necessary) keeper's quarters and outbuildings. But I still think WQ (and its quarters) would've made a nice hefty Xmas 2001 piece.
