While vacationing in the U.P. of Michigan I talked to a dealer who was having a HL signing event with Kim. During the conversation she mentioned she couldn't get any Ludington pieces from HL because they were on backorder and she contacted a few other dealers looking for this piece for her event but couldn't find any.

Three months ago I posted a topic about a problem with my brand new Ludington piece having paint pealing problems straight out of the box. I find it kind of odd that now this piece is being backordered. Connection or coincidence? confused

What else is odd is that no one else chimed in with any responses or opinions. Could it be that no one else had this problem, didn't purchase this piece or was it because I was a little critical of Harbour Lights and some quality problems I had been experiencing and they didn't want to get involved.

Tom

Could be that you were on the early end of receiving the piece, Tom. If there was a problem I suspect that HL is going to make the factory fix it, but I am surprised that something has not been said about a delay. I believe my dealer has one on display, will have to check next time I'm there. I don't always get in a hurry to but new pieces as my dealer gets two on autoship and I don't have much competition in this area for them.

I just pulled out my #284 which was one of the early releases and still did not find any indications of a paint problem on it. Since I've been out of touch for awhile, and was unaware that there was any problems with this piece, I was surprised to hear about a potential issue. So far this year this is my favorite piece and I would hope that others will have the opportunity to get the piece soon and enjoy it as much as I have.

I spoke with Michele at the home office last week and she said there were problems with perhaps 50 of the Ludington pieces and paint quality.

They believe they've got them all back, but if you have one or spot one in a store, contact Harbour Lights at 800-365-1219 and let them know.
